"First time customer and got some meat and a sandwich. The KBBQ sandwich was good and had a delicious gochujang spread. It was pretty much a Korean pulled pork sandwich. I got Bacon and Shawarma Sausage to try at home. The bacon was definitely outstanding, I got about 1/2 pound, which was enough for 2 breakfasts, and it was just under $9. My Polish girlfriend said that it reminded her of the bacon she would get from the butchers in Poland, which is an utmost compliment. I wasn’t a fan of the Shawarma Sausage, but this was mainly just my tastebuds. It smelled sweet, tasted okay, and was a bit dry, even with the help of tzatziki. I’ll be back to try some new stuff when the paycheck hits."

"In the neighborhood and wanted a good steak. Wow this place has great cuts and nice team. Got a sirloin roast and it was fantastic plus quite reasonable. Highly recommend. Will try the other location closer to home as well."

"Fabulous, fresh meat. It's a bit spendy and it's worth every penny. They make a lot of great products with the critters they sell, too, like their chopped liver (delicious) and beef bone broth. Everything I've tried has been great."

"This butcher shop is a great addition to the neighborhood— many fresh options, great selection of pickled veggies, and they offer smaller cuts with bones that are great for dog owners like myself. But that’s not why I’m writing this, my first ever review. No—This five stars, while deserved regardless, is for the staff specifically. I have had a long-game joke on my boyfriend for over a year. I told him that fried pig yes were a delicacy in my culture (my family is Lebanese) and that I was sad I could never find them in the U.S. I was surprised when he believed this complete lie and just kept it going, every couple months he’d mention that he’d cook them for me one day, if he could find them. Apparently he’d been asking butchers around the city. Today, to my horror, he arrived with pigs eyes (!!!). Apparently the butchers at Prospect went out of their way to get these for him when he told them his Lebanese girlfriend was homesick for a delicacy (and were apparently very sweet and happy to). They literally carved them out of today’s pig shipment. A joke gone too far, yes, but these guys are clearly a great addition to Greenpoint and will go out of their way to get (any type) of quality meat you need—for better or worse."
