"The atmosphere is so warm and inviting; our server May was very attentive and super sweet. Great for a date or just to catch up with friends. The Flunk Flink drink and bruiseberry mojito were very yummy - just the right amount of sweetness. Kimchi Fries were bomb - the sauce was evenly distributed and the fries were crispy. The crab fried rice was really balanced, there were more noodles than meat in the Pho Bo with Short Rib but the broth was nice and rice. The Crispy banana (?) was also SO good - again, great flavors and it wasn’t too overpowering. 10/10"

"Beautiful restaurant. Love it's aesthetics. It feels very zen. They have good lunch specials. The food is very good and plentiful. The service is good. Food comes out fast. They also have amazing Cocktails. I would definitely go back"

"My recent dining experience at Obao was absolutely wonderful, leaving me eager to return. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was simply delicious. We started with a selection of appetizers that were fresh and flavorful, setting a high bar for the main courses. For our entrees, we enjoyed the beef pho, which had a deeply aromatic broth and tender beef—it was incredibly comforting and authentic. We also tried the Pad Thai, a perfect blend of sweet, sour, and savory flavors with perfectly cooked noodles. Everything was prepared beautifully and tasted fantastic. Beyond the food, the service truly elevated the evening. Our server, William, was incredibly attentive and very helpful. He provided excellent recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal without being intrusive. I highly recommend Obao for anyone looking for exceptional Southeast Asian cuisine and top-tier service."

"Obao is clean and serves really delicious food! We ordered soup, eggplant, spring rolls, and beef noodles — everything was amazing. I also tried the Obao Sunray cocktail with vodka and Malibu, which was fantastic, although the celery stick garnish wasn’t very fresh. Our main dishes took quite a while to arrive, and we actually received the appetizer after the main course (probably just a mix-up), but the staff corrected it quickly after I reminded the waiter. The atmosphere was a bit noisy but still pleasant overall. The place isn’t fancy, but prices are very affordable, and it’s a great spot to enjoy flavorful Vietnamese cuisine. Definitely worth a visit!"

"Very delicious food, still dreaming about that vegan pho we ordered 2 bowls of Vegan Pho plus the mushroom tacos! Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The brooth needs to be sold internationally and I might email you and ask you for the recipe. The atmosphere was clean and cozy, with great vibes and excellent service. I highly recommend! It’s a must stop in your NYC experience!!"
