"Can’t think of anywhere else in Brooklyn let alone NYC that has quality retail seafood that can match this spot. A bit expensive maybe, but you get what you pay for. Good source for hard to find items like shrimp / lobster stock, fish stock, smoked haddock, razor clams, interesting pantry of tinned fish / various sauces and pastas."

"Mermaid’s Garden at the top of a very short list of best retail fish stores in NYC. Their product is meticulously sourced and the quality is always top notch and leans into supporting sustainably sourced options. Their carefully chosen little market of pantry gems has that cuttlefish ink for your squid risotto and yes, I would love a lemon or lime with my order. Everyone on the team cares and again their quality is unimpeachable."
