"Great location, lovely staff, clean amenities but the owner needs to sort the heating out. A room that has no working heating when it is minus 3deg Celcius outside is not acceptable. I should not have to sleep fully dressed with an overcoat on in paid accomodation. Having spoken to other guests I am alone. This property needs an upgrade on the heating system. I would not recommend staying here in the winter."

"I stayed with a friend for NYCC in a "City Double Room" for four days. Overall it was good enough to stay for the price overall on a budget. A more detailed breakdown of the pros and cons. Pros - Location is great for just Javitz Center, Times Square, especially Madison Square Garden and more. - Rates are very reasonable - Offers bag check before and after stay, which isn't as common outside of major hotels. - Building and rooms are very secure with custom keypad entry numbers that activate at 3 PM of check in day and deactivate at 11 am of checkout day. Cons - I called in advance and was told the City Double Room had a queen bed but it was more like a full bed. Probably fine for a couple but not so much otherwise. - Furniture in room was very shoddy and even broken in some parts - Bedding is less than desirable. The mattress in retrospect is very hard, two pillows are very flat to point you'd not even notice anything between mattress. Lastly the covers aren't made to be used by two adults height or width wise but that could vary how close two people are. - Biggest issue is that building isn't very ADA friendly at all. Arriving we asked for ground level room due to an issue going to second floor with bags. The employee said they could but didn't want to because it'd require more work, literally said that. Apparently you can request that in advance if it's necessary but not hotel details or layout aren't very clear on any site. - The bathrooms are shared, I believe two bathrooms on each floor but there is no constant layout to any of them. No soap is supplied other than next to the sink, maybe not biggest thing but it would help a lot as something not always traveled with. Additionally there are no bath mats. I'd say this is an adequate place to stay for a day, two tops just to have somewhere to sleep but any longer and need any amenities or have disabilities then I'd say pay the extra for bigger hotel."

"I really enjoyed my stay here. When I arrived the owner and her daughter were out the front and made me feel so welcome immediately. I booked through Expedia and was worried there would be issues with my reservation but I checked in without any issues. The location is incredible. Super easy to walk or take the subway almost anywhere you want to go. It was pretty quiet the whole time I was there. Be aware that there’s no shampoo, conditioner, or shower gel in the bathrooms, nor bath mats. They do provide two towels though so one can easily be used as a floor towel and the other for your body. The facilities are kept very clean, and you have access to a communal kitchen area with a microwave and even a vending machine! There’s also a lovely patio area out the back. As a solo traveller the area felt very safe to walk around even at night. There are of course homeless folks around but I found they generally kept to themselves and didn’t cause any issues."

"We had a fantastic stay here. We stayed here for four days and only saw about five other people. It was super quiet. The street it's on is also pretty quiet despite feeling like you're in the center of everything. The room is small but it has all of the essentials like a full body mirror, closet with hangers, a fold down desk, and night stand. The AC was also pretty good. I was a little bit shocked that there weren't any basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. So make sure you pack some! You also only get one towel per person for your stay. The stairs are steep and narrow as well so be aware of that before you book. There are a couple of shared kitchens as well that seemed pretty well stocked with things to use to make food. I would absolutely stay here again."

"Great location in Chelsea with very convenient access to the subway. It makes going into grand central nice because it's an easy transition to the 1 train. This is not a hotel it is a hostile. A lot of booking sites do not make it apparent that there are no private restrooms. 2 per floor with about 6 rooms in each floor. While no biggie to me, for the price, the holiday inn down the street is comparable and has better amenities. Very chill staff, a gaggle of bros and very lowkey. There are some convenience stores, the hooch man, a dispensary and a lot of restaurants in the area. 2 blocks from the garden. My only photo is the lobby, I'll update later with more"
