"We had the most magical evening at La Grande Boucherie thanks to Jose and Bench— it truly turned into the highlight of our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were enchanted by the elegant art-nouveau décor, the soaring glass ceilings, and the festive Christmas spirit that filled every corner. Bench and José treated us like royalty: warm, attentive, and so knowledgeable — their kindness and care really made the night special. We came in thinking we’d stop for just one drink — but with the inviting atmosphere and delicious ambiance, we stayed for cocktails, appetizers, and laughter with a friend we had met at the airport. The appetizers & drinks were fantastic, and lingering a little longer felt totally right. La Grande Boucherie is perfect for anyone looking for gorgeous surroundings, thoughtful service, and a cozy “unexpected night out” that becomes something unforgettable. Highly recommend — especially if you want a place that feels like a little slice of Paris wrapped in holiday magic. 🎄✨"

"We have been so excited to visit and our experience did not disappoint! Ryan was our server and he was so kind and helpful and we really feel like he went out of the way to make our experience enjoyable. Every single bite of food was better than the one before and the escargots was absolutely the best we have ever had. The drinks were exceptional and we were really surprised how easy it was to book a table online while en route only to be seated immediately. What a nice experience! I can't wait to come back the next time we are in town. We will def ask to be seated in Ryan's section again!"

"The reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is because the food fell a bit short in terms of presentation and overall quality. For the price point, we felt we could find better food options elsewhere in the area. We came in with high expectations, especially since the place has an amazing ambience and is very Instagrammable. That said, the service was excellent — the staff were friendly, attentive, and really elevated the experience. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with great service, but I hope they take a second look at their food offerings to match the quality of everything else they do so well."

"One of the best brunch/lunch spots I had in all of New York - already miss it! La Grande Boucherie is breathtaking the second you walk in. That massive, gorgeous bar is straight out of a dream and the whole dining room feels like a glamorous Parisian brasserie on steroids. It gets busy very quickly (especially on weekends), but they're super prepared for walk-ins. There's a huge, comfortable waiting area with plenty of seating if you don't feel like standing at the bar. We waited about 20-25 minutes without a reservation and it was totally pleasant. We ended up having a cocktail anyway because the bar is just too stunning to resist! Food was absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was perfectly executed and came out fast. Flavors were rich, portions were generous, and every plate looked almost too pretty to eat. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm even though the place was packed. The energy is lively and fun but still feels elegant, the ideal brunch vibe. Honestly, La Grande Boucherie was one of the highlights of my NYC trip. If you want spectacular setting with great food and solid service, run don't walk. Make a reservation if you can, but even if you have to wait, there's plenty of comfortable space and the experience is 100% worth it. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in the city!"

"We had the most beautiful dinner at La Grande Boucherie in New York City. Tucked like a dream between Sixth and Seventh Avenue, Boucherie feels almost unreal at first sight, a shimmering mirage of old-world Paris in the heart of Midtown. Inspired by the free-spirited charm and artistry of the Belle Époque, Boucherie blends the indulgence of a classic steakhouse with the elegance of a refined French brasserie. Founder Emil Stefkov imagined a space where craftsmanship means something, where French artisanship and American architecture could meet and make magic. It feels both timeless and modern, full of intention and reverence, a place where good food is treated like a celebration of life itself. I’m a sucker for a prix fixe menu, so of course we went that route. Caesar salads to start, perfectly made, complete with that tiny sardine perched on top the way it’s meant to be. I ordered the steak Diane, TJ went for steak and frites, and both were perfection. The desserts were unforgettable, but I’ll be dreaming about that crème brûlée. TJ had a Manhattan, and I ordered the Phoenix from the cocktail menu. Every sip felt like a warm, sweet burst of fire, a little moment of alchemy. The staff was wonderful too, and I even left with a small gift, a beautiful book about La Grande Boucherie that made the night feel all the more special. One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had in New York City, especially in Midtown. A perfect evening in every way."
