"This 8th Avenue Jollibee location only serves their chicken entrees and sandwiches. (The Times Square location offers burgers as well.) I have been recently ordering their 3 piece tenders meal with either mashed potatoes and gravy, white rice, or cole slaw as the side, though they also offer McDonald’s-like fries. Despite the name, the box of tenders usually includes 4 or 5 white meat tenders which can be different sizes. (Unlike McDonald’s the tenders are each different in appearance.) Several sauces are available but I get the small gravy. My included dessert choice is the ube pie (purple sweet potato) rather than the peach-mango. I have also enjoyed the spicy leg/thigh two-piece meal which is truly spicy and with large pieces of dark meat chicken. There are more expensive sides including spaghetti (with ground meat and hotdog slices and a sweet smoky flavor), mac & cheese, and adobo (dirty) rice. I usually get a soft drink but they offer fruit quenchers and other drinks. All in all the best chicken of any fast-serve chain! There is a single public restroom and the key is held at either the front desk or by security."

"I visited a popular Philippines-based chain on 8th Avenue in New York, known globally for its famous fried chicken, spaghetti, and burgers. I ordered spicy fried chicken and a spicy chicken burger, and the spicy fried chicken was excellent."

"Tried it for the first time. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was actually pretty good. I just don’t understand why it’s eaten with gravy. The fries were quite disappointing. They were too dried and not crispy enough."

"Never had the chicken from this location before, and it was a nice change of pace from other chicken-based chains. This is NYC, so the place was crowded, mostly with tourists who wait to get to the register before they start the 15 min. task of deciding what to order. If you can make up your mind in line, the staff seem to appreciate that, and overall they seemed nice and moving quickly to try to deal with all the orders they had to fill. Food, to me, was better than Cain's or other chicken places, especially the sides...they didn't taste like injection-molded plastic, gravy was nice, chicken was tasty and nothing was over salted. Overall worth a try to see if you like it and need a quick meal to fill you up as you're wandering around the city."

"Jollibee – Fried Chicken Came back as promised to try the famous fried chicken from this Filipino franchise. The place has a fun vibe, though it feels a little cramped—maybe just because it’s always packed with people. I went for the Spicy Chicken, and wow… it totally lives up to the name. The coating is thin and crispy, full of spice, while the meat inside is tender and juicy. Service is what you’d expect from a fast-food spot—quick and straightforward. One tip: if you want ketchup or chili sauce, you have to ask for it, and they’ll give it to you in packets. Flavor-wise though, this might just be the best spicy fried chicken I’ve had so far in New York. I’ll definitely be back to try the other menu items—but for now, the Spicy Chicken is the star, and you shouldn’t miss it."
