"Johns Deli is an all time favorite dating back to its days on Stilwell Avenue in Brooklyn. Consistently and reliably delicious hot roast beef sandwiches is what brings people coming back. The fried shrimp in the slightly spicy red sauce is amazing. Friendly and quick service make lunchtime a little bit better. And the “”Thank you Subway” every time they get a tip, makes me smile and brings back memories of younger days. So happy they’re around."

"The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, you can tell they care about their customers. The food is great (vodka sauce, marinara sauce and the black gravy are to die for) and the price can’t be beat. Definitely check them out, even worth a drive."

"Was really looking forward to trying their famous shrimp parm and roast beef sandwich, but was unfortunately quite disappointed and underwhelmed. The shrimp parm was quite flavorless and nothing special at all, which is definitely not worth the $10+ for the roll. The roast beef was just okay, with the highlight being the generous thick slice of cheese; the hero would've been even more delicious if they were a bit more generous with the onions. The gravy was a tad bit too sweet, which can be easily fixed by just increasing its saltiness. Overall, spent around 28 bucks for two mediocre sandwiches, which was unfortunate for it had so much potential. The ambiance is just meh, with the dining area appearing a bit unclean and not really that welcoming. Service was okay as well. Thanks for reading and good luck! (:"

"Absolutely amazing deli. Highly recommended! Every time we visit Staten Island this is a definite stop. The roast beef & mozz hero is my favorite. Very inexpensive and you get a large portion of food. The staff is also extremely nice."
