"Good quality, inexpensive Indian food We visited Hylan Curry & Grill buffet for a family lunch in June 2025. While the dish selection was limited, everything we tried was excellent - tasty, flavorful, and hearty. I just wish they didn’t use tilapia in their fish dishes. While it’s the cheapest fish on the market, it’s also the lowest quality one, often imported from questionable sources. Surprisingly, the lassi was quite bad - sour and diluted, likely made with the wrong yogurt. This should be an easy to fix. We make lassi at home, it’s very simple, no rocket science. I’m looking forward to visiting this place again for a non-buffet meal and trying their Nepalese dishes."

"My bf and I learned about this place from FB Food Group. We originally wanted to check out and choose what to get from the menu until this nice gentleman told us about the buffet 12PM-3PM. Told him we can come back later since we arrived 30 minutes too early lol. When we arrived, we were greeted by him again and led us to the table. Very quiet and felt like I can’t stop smelling the good food. We prepared to get the food from the buffet and holy moly, they were absolutely delicious. The price is super worth it since I am satisfied with what I got. My personal favorite were the samosas, goat curry, tandoori chicken, and (okra with onions). Mango lassi (drink) is delicious! In short, this is perfect for your first time going there for lunch so you can check out and then order specific ones during non-buffet days! I don’t often go in this area because it’s a little far from where I live. Thank you for satisfying my cravings. (Ate there on May 31st) Photo contains samosas, goat curry, sweet and sour chicken, okra with onions, and tandoori chicken (there’s rice lol, just hidden)"

"I started physical therapy recently & that’s how I ended up finding this place near by. I liked their food so much I ended up going there twice already. First I tried their chicken lunch thali, lemon drink, food was yum. Then the next day I tried the Nepali appetizer called ‘ Drums of Heaven’ they were sooo good. And the Hot & Sour soup was delicious. I also like the papar they give you with 3 different kind of chutneys. I loved the mango chutney. Customer service was great both times . As a halal restaurant I wish they didn’t serve alcohol. So I can say this Restaurant is 100% halal accomplishment!"

"Visited this place for a group dinner party yesterday. The food was delicious with very friendly service. This corner institution offers good Indian/Nepali food on this busy thoroughfare (Hylan Ave) in Staten Island, NY. It has a small parking lot behind for about 6 vehicles, but there is lots of street parking available in the residential neighborhood behind. We were a group of about 65 adults and booked the place for our event. Will definitely patronize this place again!"

"Tasty, definitely a little different from other Indian places I've been. I'll be back to try some Nepalese dishes. Came back today to check out the Sunday buffet. Everything was delicious and for $16.95 per person its a great deal too."
