"I love this place, I did not expect for the sushi rolls to be so big with so much fish! Also it is so amazing how they have a large variety of options. The pumpkin croquettes were great. Service and atmosphere is like a diner almost, but with Japanese features."

"Fun spot with changing daily specials - their $8 obanzai is the main attraction. We had the pork shiokaji which was incredible, so smoky and just the right amount of fat. Their roasted veg dish and salmon tartare don were also delectable. Their barley tea was also superb with unlimited hot water refills. Their sushi however - somewhat underwhelming - average fish quality but fair price. I would come again for hot dishes"

"The pricing is pretty reasonable. The space is adorable and conveniently located near the train station. I highly recommend the panko-fried eel, which was absolutely delicious. The salmon skin sushi was also a great choice. However, I wouldn’t recommend the smoked salmon. The menu described it as having spicy mayo and jalapeño, but it didn’t quite live up to that expectation. Overall, it’s a great spot for a casual meal in a nice neighborhood.."

"Had such a delightful time at this restaurant. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly and accommodating. It felt like I was a guest in their home! I got the yellow tail salad, miso salmon, and some of the specials they had for the day. Everything came out hot, fresh, and at such a reasonable price. Even the miso soup was delicious - which I didn’t expect to be so good! For my entree, I got the miso glazed salmon. It was well cooked, fresh, and had a great umami flavor. I also appreciated the good selection of sake they had available. Would definitely visit again, especially if I’m the neighborhood!"
