"Absolutely loved this place! The pasta was fresh and full of flavor. Great atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even better. Drinks were top-notch too. The Negroni was perfectly balanced, and the Aperol Spritz was light and refreshing. We ended with a delicious tiramisu that was the perfect touch. Authentic, cozy, and delicious, highly recommend!"

"I recently dined at Ellie’s Bistro in Newark, NJ, and had a mixed experience. The food was genuinely delicious. I ordered the Caesar salad and onion soup, both of which were flavorful and well-prepared. My friend had the eggplant Parmesan, which they also enjoyed thoroughly. The quality of the food is definitely a highlight and deserves praise. However, the billing process was an absolute nightmare. Our waitress overcharged us, and when we pointed out the issue, she casually mentioned that she had added her tip to the bill. This was unacceptable and felt deceptive. If a tip is automatically included, it should be clearly communicated, especially since the receipt had a blank tip line, which misled us into thinking we needed to add one. To make matters worse, we were handed eight receipts for a single visit, which was confusing and unnecessary. While the food was great, the billing fiasco left a sour taste. I’d recommend Ellie’s for the cuisine but urge management to address their billing practices and ensure transparency with customers. For now, I’d rate it 3/5 stars—great food, but the service and payment process need serious improvement."

"We get a pizza with a lot sea food and it was nice. A little soft . So we have to eat it with silverware 🍴. No natural juice just cans 😕 I get a margarita. It was decent. The service was really good The only down side is not parking ."

"This was a cool find!!!! Fresh made Italian food. Amazing!!! The brick oven is visible. Don't let the size of the dining room deter you. My husband said, it's small, but I figured it was worth a try. Plenty of parking, which ended up being free due to time of day. Watch your bill for an automatic TIP, though. I'm assuming it's because we had 5 people, but I almost gave them double. 😬 Luckily, I looked again to see why it was so expensive after she brought me the one to sign. I'm not complaining, just want you to be aware. The Chicken Parmesean and Wild Mushroom Ravioli were the best of the 5 entrees we got. Nothing was bad. The garlic bread(pizza) was delicious! ENJOY!"
