"This is a special spot. I bring groups here and occasionally come and drink and eat with friends, and we’re always greeted with a big smile, no matter who’s working. The ambiance is great - colorful and fun but still homey. There’s usually a soccer match on the tv (on mute) and good music and there’s an eclectic mix of customers. Trust-funders, hipsters, restaurant workers, neighborhood families, groups of young Latino men quietly drinking in the corner. You never know who’s gonna be there and no matter who’s here, it’s always a good vibe. Also, the food is great. My tour guests usually get Tacos al Pastor, but I was there last Saturday for some margaritas with a buddy and they hit me with the Saturday-only Cochinita Pibil tacos which were delicious. I’m also a big fan of the nachos. The cousins who run El Cabron have always been super welcoming and it’s obviously a labor of love. A lot of craft and care goes into their drinks and their menu and there’s just a down-to-earth feel that isn’t super common in the area any more. Great place to eat and drink."

"Perfect find for our Sunday afternoon wandering. The margaritas were fantastic. The food was delicious: guac and pico were super fresh and the chicken quesadilla is exactly what I hoped for."

"Haven’t had the food yet but the Modelos are served in a chilled mug which I love. The food does look good tho. Great spot for the bikers to pull up and the servers are the nicest!! Always so happy to see us"

"This restaurant is a great no frills serving very delicious Mexican establishment. I had the veggie tacos which were flavorful and classic. The salsa Verde was delicious with the right amount of spice. I was thoroughly satisfied after a long day of exploring the city"

"Went for cinco de mayo and got the 2 specials and a margarita each. Drink and tacos came out timely and was good on their own. Service we quick and friendly. No complaints."
