"This is the new Dim Sum restaurant on the UWS, Broadway between West 92nd and 93rd Streets. Excellent menu, wide variety, in the traditional Hong Kong style. Food is very fresh and well prepared. Staff is very friendly, helpful in describing the different dishes and quick service. Great addition to the Upper West Side. A+"

"I was so excited when I heard that there’s a new location opening up for dim sum palace and it’s more of a takeout than dine in which i think is great since many people are on time crunches. Service is great and the food i’ve had many times even in their LIC location! I really like their green sichuan pepper beef tripe because there’s vermicelli as well."

"Relatively new store, everything taste good but I feel like something’s lacking, not enough impact like ones you get in China town. The congees were really good for a cold day. The bean curd skin rolls were definitely the best one and is a must get. Shumai were about average. Chicken feet very flavorful."

"I was excited when i read this was opening, via WSR. I’m disappointed it’s more take out than an actual restaurant. You order at the counter, wait for your number, grab your food and find a seat at a table or high top counter overlooking Broadway. It’s fast food, chain vibe at regular restaurant prices. That’s said, there is some serious real Chinese food on their menu, not just the standard American Chinese selection. There seemed to be a few Columbia Chinese students in line with me, so this spot, along with a few more in the neighborhood are trying to attract them. Their roast pork and roast duck is standard. > $15 after taxes & tip. It’s not the best, but it’s not the worst in the neighborhood. It’s mid. Best to come here with a crew so you can share more dishes."

"So excited that Dim Sum Sam finally opened on the UWS! I used to go to the 23rd St one all the time😝obsessed with their egg tarts and salted egg yolk taro buns (sadly no bakery section here😭). This spot feels more like a takeout place than a dine-in restaurant, but everything I tried was great — chicken wings, Shanghai fried rice, and turnip cake. The fried rice portion is huge! Also tried their chef’s picks, the Fragrant Spicy Pot and Tender Diced Chicken with Chili Pepper, both super flavorful and loaded with ingredients. Staff were super friendly and patient, even helped me double check the ingredients since I don’t eat certain things. Been ordering from here a lot after work lately. Totally recommend!"
