"The pork chop was okay. It was cooked well, there was just no added spices maybe a bit of salt and that is all. Collard greens were a good complement to my dish as were the beans. It wasn’t disappointing, it just seemed incomplete because of the lack of flavor. The portion was more than enough for me. I didn’t eat the rice and I was still having trouble eating the entire pork chop. Chilean Cabernet was delicious! Of course passion fruit mousse was the star of the night. The passion fruit is 100% fruit and it’s tart. The mousse is just right in sweetness and melt in your mouth."

"Yummy yummy Brazilian food! The drinks were fantastic and so fresh & I think they need to sell pitchers of their caipirinhas bc wow. The food was really good and you must get the cheesy bread (it’s also GF!) but mainly the ambiance is very homey & the staff is so sweet and genuinely care if you like the food and feel. Will return"

"The Casa Restaurant is by far my favorite restaurant in New York City. Located in Tribeca it has delicious meals, perfect cocktails and the most inviting atmosphere both inside at the bar and in the inviting dining room as well as outside with al fresco seating. The owner has brought culture and traditions from Brazil and magically merged that with the family friendliness and sophisticated ambience of Tribeca. The Casa Restaurant is truly a jewel, where everyone feels like they are at home, with Jupira greeting everyone as family and friends. See you there!"

"Casa is an amazing gem in the heart of Tribeca. The food is home cooking Braz food, the service is top-notch. Start at happy hour and then grab dinner."

"One of my favorite spots to eat out in New York! Casa takes me home when I miss Brazil and I’m so thankful to how this place is hosting events that get the huge Tribeca community together! This summer, they organized a couple of super fun block parties featuring “roda de samba.” "A roda de samba is a traditional, celebratory gathering in Brazil featuring music, dance, and poetry, where participants form a circle (the "roda") to sing and dance...” And what was also cool about these parties was to see a cross-cultural and cross-generational crowd in celebration: local families playing and dancing with their kids, Brazilians singing and teaching samba to those around who were curious to learn, people singing along with the musicians… But there’s always that one person or two who just can’t hide or keep some of their own frustrations to themselves so here I was absolutely shocked by Grant S’ remarks: “...such a disregard and pure disrespect for neighbors and the community, we never signed up to listen to your ghetto music .” This is one guy in Tribeca acting in full prejudice and no shame to show it by his choice of language and territorial remarks. I talked to the owner about this but also, I was there!! Both events happened on Sundays, starting at around 3-3:30, one ending at 7 and the other at 7:45. The restaurant had a permit, all legit. Well, I can’t wait for the next one! Especially since we still have some sunny days ahead before our winter!"
