"Very good location in Williamsburg. Many coffee places and small but cozy restaurants within a short walking distance. Front desk staff very friendly. Carlos and Abil (if I am not mistaken his name) were both very nice. They even recommended places to eat in the area. We visited one of them and we were so happy with their recommendations. Definitely, a good place to stay."

"The rooms and bathrooms are so small. I don’t know how a tall person could even use the tiny toilet in the tiny toilet area! The shower is totally open to the room, a mirror on the opposite wall makes the frosted glass pointless. We made it work but it wasn’t a relaxing experience… There is also not much space for your things, like very small side tables and no counter space anywhere. We had to clear off the minibar for our toiletries! Most of the staff, including the cleaning staff and doormen were very nice and helpful. The small rooms wouldn’t be terrible if there was more communal seating and lounging available. On our first day my brother brought us some Bordertown tacos and the staff told us it was fine to sit and eat them at the low tables in the bar area. Two days later he brought a breakfast burrito to share so we sat in the same spot and this blond employee came and asked us to leave because it is technically a restaurant. This was embarrassing and rude as hotel guests! First, we were in the bar area, not in the main restaurant, secondly, there was barely anyone there eating at the restaurant, and third, we were specifically told we could sit there to eat our outside food two days before. I won’t return to this hotel because of that incident alone. We’ve also stayed at the Wythe and the Hoxton and they are both superior."

"Our expectations for this stay was very high. We thought we would escape from home and treat ourselves for 1 night but ultimately wished we were back at home. First, the room it self is beautiful. But there were a few flaws. Such as, the bed frame was very noisy. It cranked and squeaked with every movement. The bed was uncomfortable. Given the overall cost of the stay we expected a better bed. We enjoyed the shower. The pressure and temperature was spot on. By the time we were done there was water that escaped beyond the closed door. We used our towels to avoid slipping. Besides the room for improvements, it is an esthetically pleasing stay."

"We recently stayed in an Arlo Williamsburg block for our Brooklyn wedding. Our suite was spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed and a beautiful skyline view. We found the hotel staff to be extremely attentive and courteous. We hosted many out-of-town friends and family, all of whom had wonderful experiences. They all spoke to the quality of the hotel amenities, and what a great location they have for exploring Brooklyn and Manhattan (both the ferry and L train access are ideal!). We also had the pleasure of using the Mirror Bar for our rehearsal event on Friday night (we weren’t able to get into our wedding venue and the Arlo staff were so helpful with finding us an alternate space) and the Water Tower as a getting-ready space for the bridal party on Saturday morning! Both spaces were beautiful, spacious, and made for great photo-ops! Their staff was so friendly and we could not recommend this hotel more for an event like ours!"

"⚠️ Avoid this hotel unless you don’t want to sleep much and want to feel like you’re living in a student halls. ⚠️ In fact, it is by far noisier than any student accommodation I ever stayed in. There is a night club in the base of the hotel which plays pumping bass music late into the night at weekends, and each night there were screaming and shouting people running up and down the corridors on the 8th floor, playing very loud music from their rooms and speaking in large groups as they walk to the lift. After phoning reception they said they would send security up, but it didn’t seem to sort out the problem as different groups of party goers emerged intermittently. The night before there was a woman screaming at a drunk man (possibly her partner) in her room. It took another guest to go out into the corridor to tell her to keep it down. We also had to go out into the corridor several times to tell guests to be quiet. Unless you are joining I the party and want to experience this, if you want any sleep do NOT stay here. CONS: - Party hotel, feels more like a hostel or student accommodation - Phenomenally slow lift. Allow 5-10 minutes to exit the hotel. - The whole place needs a deep clean. The corridor carpets are stained and tired, the rooms need a good mop and a scrub. - The bathroom door doesn’t close properly and there are lots of dinks in the paintwork. The whole place just feels very tired. - The blind in our room is broken and would only open a metre. The blind also has holes in it and is duck taped all along the bottom. Very very makeshift and tired. Extremely low quality to everything! PROS: - Friendly staff - Nice bright gym, fairly well equipped, a little on the small side but fine for us. - Great views from he balcony, but the broken blind meant we couldn’t enjoy these - Well located to reach nice parts of Brooklyn"
