"Disappointing experiences... I thought these bad experiences would pass and that I would happily return to this florist, but that's not the case. It's been four months since I last went there, and the shop now only inspires disappointment and anger in me every time I think about it or walk past it. My first disappointing experience happened in April. I was a student on a tight budget and wanted to please my fiancée. I went to this florist and asked for a pink rose. They were in the back, and the salesperson laughed at my request and said to his colleague, who was coming down to get my rose, "Yes, you're only coming down for one rose." When you boast about being the florist who supplies all the fine hotels in town, you should be disrespectful, impeccable, and welcoming. I work in retail as a student, and no one should ever be judged on the amount they spend. Second disappointing experience: a few months later, I went back into the shop to buy a bouquet of flowers, wanting to give this florist, who had never disappointed me before and from whom I used to have arrangements made for around a hundred euros a few years ago, a second chance. I went into the shop, said hello, and took the time to look at some of the arrangements. At first, I wasn't convinced and left, saying goodbye to the salesperson, who heard me and also said goodbye. On my way back, I changed my mind and returned to the shop. When I approached the till with the bouquet I was happy to have bought, the salesperson asked me the following question (I'm transcribing the conversation verbatim because I'm not likely to forget such humiliation anytime soon): "Did you come back because the other florists were closed (it was a public holiday)?" I replied and tried to justify myself, which I found unacceptable: "No, no, I changed my mind and I'd like to buy a bouquet." The shopkeeper retorted, "I don't think it's normal to go into a shop and leave immediately without saying anything" (I should point out: the shopkeeper had clearly heard me speak to him). I apologized for my supposedly inappropriate behavior and paid for my purchase. He added, "It's disrespectful to shopkeepers to act like that." To anyone considering buying flowers from them: remember to be polite and leave with a large bouquet to avoid being pressured to buy more!"
