"The beautifully plated food and lovely atmosphere made this a pleasant dining experience, but the food itself was just good, not great. I ordered the Filet mignon de porc, which was overcooked, tough, and more fat than lean meat. Because there was so much fat, I couldn’t even eat most of it. I assumed they would Sous vide it since it’s a difficult dish to cook, but they didn’t. The Guinea fowl was apparently enjoyable, though. The service was good, but they never asked if I was having any issues, even though I left half of the pork on my plate. You can tell the chef is trying to make delicious food. But I don’t think the chef is quite there yet."

"An absolute gem in Aix! Every dish at L’Envie was a work of art — from the salmon tartelette with bright pops of green apple to the rich croquette and perfectly cooked guinea fowl with morels. The lemon entremet was the perfect finish: tart, creamy, and stunningly presented. Our rosé and Luberon blanc paired beautifully with the meal. Romain, our host, made the experience even better — attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful. We’ll be back before we leave town!"

"Food We tried all entries: the egg with mushrooms, the fois gras creme brulee and the crab. All good. The first 2 were suprising. The main dish we took: “pintade”, the beef and the veggies. All of them good. For the desert we took: “la pomme”, “le citron” and tarte Tatin. All 3 were good. Wine We took Les Valentines 2021. Very good. The service: top. The owner is 5*. Atmosphere Although it is not the owner’s fault, we had 3 american couples. They were able to beat an English football gallery in decibels. As the restaurant is small, it was a strong and loud atmosphere. If you have normal couples around, it should be really nice."

"Expected more given the stellar reviews and the price point, but the flavours were mostly plain and the portion sizes for the entrée and dessert were a bit too big. If eating as 2, I'd recommend sharing an entrée and dessert. Zucchini fritter - yummy starter, well seasoned House bread - Quite sad, not soft, not textured, little flavour. Felt like grocery store bread Foie gras crème brûlée (entrée) - honestly big enough for two. Flavour was nice, though it got a bit boring after a while. Also served with too few toasts for its size. Dos de cabillaud (plat) - cod was nice and delicate but overall the dish had too simple of a flavour. Also not very visually appealing as everything is just buried in sauce Sphère chocolat lactée, ananas, noix de coco et citron (dessert) - house special dessert that day. Probably my favourite course, lots of interesting complementary flavours. But again, so much food, could've been split between two people (the ball is filled entirely with the citron cream)"

"This was our favorite place that we ate at in the area (and we ate at all of the top rated spots). We came early, before the restaurant opened and were allowed to sit and have drinks since we were tired and needed to rest. The waitress was very professional and kind, and food came quickly. The value of the service and food was well worth the price. The turbo and apple dessert were my favorites. Excellent experience."
