"We ordered the duck confit, chicken and their in-house speciality, the pork and duck cassoulet. All the dishes tasted amazing and are a perfect reflection of what authentic French food should be! The duck confit and chicken was extremely fatty and tender. The cassoulet also tasted amazing with the extremely tender duck and pork. The service was amazing as the waiters constantly checked in on us to make sure we felt the food was okay and if we also needed more bread. To add on to our amazing experience, the Owner who is the chef surprised us with a small gift which really touched our hearts. Overall, the food tasted like a home- cooked meal cooked with love by the chef who has been cooking these dishes since 1985. This is probably one of the best restaurants I have eaten in aix-en-provence and I highly recommend others to try this restaurant if they ever come to aix-en-provence! 😋"

"2 doors from a Michelins star restaurant that was full we stumbled on this restaurant. Food and service was amazing and delicious. Was a terrific surprise for an amazing dinner on our travel through south France. Merci."

"We had a wonderful experience at Jacquou le Croquant! The service was warm and attentive, and the chef was not only incredibly kind but also an excellent cook. We tried the foie gras, the duck breast with porcini mushroom sauce, and the chicken supreme with morels, all of them were absolutely delicious. The patio was lovely and peaceful, perfect for a relaxed dinner. They also welcomed my dog without hesitation and brought him water right away. Highly recommended!"

"Old traditional restaurant in Aix en We had a lunch, onion soup, Margret du canard, and cassoulet. The soup was good. The duck was well done despite of we ordered medium. The cassoulet was tasty but it wasn't duck, maybe turkey thigh. Average service. We were disappointed.."

"Was expecting a bit more, the side dishes were poor as the main courses were good. The cream brulee was average at best. Apple tart was very hard to cut on the bottom, apple flavors were nice, as a bit more cream on the side would have been nice. The salads were very good."
