"Unfortunately not a great experience at Di Micheli. Came with three kids. After our starters they forgot our order, and our pizzas+pasta took forever to arrive. Our 3-year old received the pasta of her children's menu 1.15hr after ordering ... once they arrived, one pizza was still missing and it did not come until we we had all finished, and we had to decide to take it away in a box. Of course, this can happen. However, we were presented with the full bill, no apology or a little "geste" or at least the last pizza discounted. Food ok but nothing special, staff overwhelmed. Not recommended. Edit: even worse that owners ask customers to “be respectful” in their reviews, instead of saying “sorry we forgot your order and that it took so long”. Children’s menu ordered at 19.10h, received 20.30h. There’s a difference between fast food and taking over an hour to cook a small plate of pasta! I lived in Italy for 6 years and never waited that long … You should be more respectful to you customers Di Micheli!"

"We stopped in to di Micheli’s for a quick bite while visiting Aix en Provence. A pizza sounded good and not too heavy so we decided to try it out. It has a large outdoor seating area which was nice on a hot day. The menu had a number of choices, we opted for the Parma pizza. The pizza was pretty good but far from the best we’ve had in Europe. It was fine but not memorable if I’m honest. The server was a courteous and prompt. Our experience was okay for the value. It was 18 Euros for the pizza that we shared so it was reasonable."

"Cannot recommend, unfortunately. Pizza tasted burnt, even though it wasn’t actually burnt/charred - likely means they used too much flour or did not clean the oven properly (the additional flour burns and the smell/taste stays). Very bad sign for someone who claims to have won Neapolitan pizza vice-champion. I’m not saying this to nitpick as a gourmet, the pizza was really almost inedible. Spicy oil very spicy, but probably not olive oil. Friendly service, but it took almost 30 minutes to receive our two pizzas. Nice square, but this place is one of the less nicely decorated. They left the umbrellas open until late during the night and then closed them while we were eating. Update after owner’s answer: I can always forgive a busy waiter on a busy night and I don’t mind waiting. A few tables had just cleared when we sat down. Perhaps you’re understaffed? A Neapolitan pizza cooks for 60-90 seconds in a proper oven - if that’s what you mean by „fast food“… Also: slightly charred edges - totally fine! Strong burnt taste throughout that overpower any other flavour? No, thanks. I would be happy to consider it a momentary lapse leaving too much flour in the oven or the main pizzaiolo was not there, but other reviews show it’s not the case."

"Mind-blowing truffle gnocchi- I’m still dreaming about it! I had the truffle gnocchi at Di Micheli, and honestly, it was a revelation. The gnocchi was unbelievably soft, like little clouds that just melted in my mouth. No chewing required, just pure pillowy perfection. And that truffle flavor? Rich, aromatic, and balanced without being overpowering. It wrapped around each bite like a warm hug from the universe. Hands down, the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. If you’re anywhere near Aix, do yourself a favor and go."

"Great service - really kind server. Fast service Good prices ! 3.5/5 food - good food but not the best I've had. The gnocchi sauce was not creamy but on the greasy side. The burrata was nice but lacked some sauce or seasoning. But the server gave us some vinegar olive oil salt and pepper !"
