"This is about tennis courts and reservation system and lady who is managing it. Firstly, I am a Weehawken resident living next to these courts. Me and my boyfriend went through humiliating process of registering (residential lease, Driver License is NOT sufficient 😳, they want everything and your first born child to register. It is easier to open a credit card or get TSA pre check. It is horrible and outdated). But after that, it is almost impossible to book a tennis court here. The system is ancient — no online booking, you have to call one lady during limited weekday hours, can’t reserve two days in a row. Courts often sit empty (I live right by the courts) while residents can’t get in. I feel like it’s a way city laundering money, with these job titles that just make life harder for residents, not letting them use “township amenities”. This was a last straw. My boyfriend calls in 2 days in advance and makes a reservation for us to play for 1 hr on the weekday morning. He gets called in to work the day off and I decide to still go with my neighbor friend. We showed up for our 11 a.m. reservation, and all the courts were locked. Called three times — line busy. Finally got through and was told to “find the security guard somewhere in the park.” We searched everywhere… no one knew his whereabouts! Pool people were trying to help, but security guy couldn’t be found. Please note: directions from Recreation center: go look for a guy that could be anywhere in the park (it’s insane). 25 minutes later we just decided to go to a different court. This was not it. Recreation center starts calling my boyfriend, who is in a middle of critical project and starts harassing him that he wasn’t the one present there (by the three locked tennis courts) and they start threatening him to do something to his registration. While both of us, and my tennis partner for the day are registered Weehawken residents. Plus THE COURTS WERE LOCKED, employee responsible to open it was nowhere to be found!!! The phone line wasn’t working first few times when I called. And apparently we did something wrong. it feels like this place is managed against residents, not for them. Needs a serious update. Needs HUMANE interactions with residents this park should be serving. Living next to it, courts are empty most of the day. It’s such a shame, it is so sad and stupid. When you do your job, you can do it however you want (especially if you are city/township employee) but kindness is free, logic and common sense is free. And find that security guy, He wasn’t there at 11:30 am, while park opens at 7. We want to know he is fine."

"One of the best-kept secrets along the Hudson! Weehawken Waterfront Park offers breathtaking skyline views of Manhattan, especially at sunset. The walking paths are clean and peaceful, and the park has plenty of benches, green space, and a well-maintained playground and track area. Great for jogging, family strolls, or just relaxing by the water. A perfect place to unwind with a view!"

"I come to this waterfront and park mainly for the amazing views of Manhattan. Besides that, I come to this park for this underrated and overlooked calisthenic park. There are lots of calisthenic apparatuses here. One of them being the climbing ropes which you'd be pressed to find at any calisthenics area anywhere in the world. During the summer time there's plenty of shade and its RIGHT by the water, which helps a ton to cool down. During the winter, if its frigid outside, then yeah, its going to be that much colder over here, so keep that in mind. If it's not too cold though, it's not that bad. Plenty of space, and lots of room for use. Its a pretty underrated calisthenics area and its usually never that packed. Really great area to workout and train, especially for the calisthenics enthusiast. Lots of attractive and fit people usually come here if they're running by. Always good people and energy. You can't beat getting a FREE workout, while getting an amazing view of NYC!"

"Peaceful place to visit and exercise. Very nice view over NY cross the river but also view over the opposite hill. To not forget insect repellent though if visiting in summer"
