"Just want to say kudos to the security and cleaning staff here. We left our bag here after a movie screening and we came back and they found it immediately. Thank you for your prompt response, Roxy staff and security!"

"Really beautiful cinema! It’s so gorgeous inside and they play interesting movies! Also love the speakeasy and the bar upstairs as well!"

"The Roxy Theater is a small screening room located within the beautiful Roxy Hotel. The theater is downstairs on the same level as Django jazz club (another great place to hang). These days there are IMAX, 4DX, and other high-tech types of film formats all over the place, but this is a throwback to a small, basic screen, and is perfect for the type of films typically shown here (in this case it was the Japanese lo-fi/comedy/satire ‘Hot Springs Shark Attack’, which was stupid funny). There’s a small concession stand where you can also buy tkts (of course you can buy tkts online). There’s usually only one person working the concession stand, so there’s often a bit of a line. Overall, I really love this theater for the type of films they show (lots of indies and foreign films), and the chilled, elegant environment. I can’t say enough about this movie theater. It’s just a fabulously cool environment."

"Epic times with Harley Flanagan from the Cro Mags with his film, Wired For Chaos. If you get to see it, you'll be amazed at how the Hardcore Punk scene was in NYC. There is so much history listening to him talk. So much knowledge."

"Amazing hidden Jem theater! I went to see Padre Pio on Friday night. Small room but classic. A little thing I wish they have better blind to cover the door. People are walk in and out during the movie and I was interrupted by them. The theater is in basement of Roxy hotel and more than just cinema, I entertain by the interesting cozy vibe of all bars and decoration. I don't really hang out in the area so much, now I will probably be checking out Tribeca more."
