"I go to the movies a lot, and this is easily one of the best independent cinemas in NYC. Film at Lincoln Center always has an excellent rotation of lesser-known modern films. I saw It Was Just An Accident here, and the audience was one of the most respectful I've ever been in, and the theater itself is wonderfully kept and amazing for movies like these. There's also incredible upcoming repertory series that they run often, like their upcoming Kozaburo Yoshimura series. The staff is also very kind and welcoming."

"Great theater. $12 matinee (daytime) price, which is a pretty good deal in the city. They have a nice café on the inside, but I didn't go in."

"Walter Reade at Lincoln Center is one of the great movie venues in the City to catch foreign, indie, and classics. Their film festivals and tributes are legendary. On this occasion the purpose of my visit was to see the great comedy classic ‘Young Frankenstein’, which was fantastic to see on the big screen. It’s always a blast coming to see a classic because everyone there is a diehard fan. We all know the lines but still laugh like crazy. The venue is (thankfully) small with surprisingly comfortable seating. The large, oversized seats are almost luxurious. There is a small concession stand where you can get some snacks. There’s only one ladies and men’s restroom, so expect a line at the end of your movie. This theatre is old-school in terms of buying your ticket. There are no assigned seats. You line up and when they let everyone in you pick whatever seat you want. Some people like that, others don’t. In closing, Walter Reade has always been a relief from the typical Hollywood stuff that floods the market. This is a place where you have an opportunity to screen films that otherwise you’d not get to see. I really love their festivals and when have film discussions with the actors, producers, and/or the directors. If you discover a film, that’s playing here that you’re interested in, I would strongly suggest going. It’s truly a gem, and if you go, I’m sure you’ll agree."

"Enjoyed the NY Asian American Film Fest they host here every year. The Thai and Taiwanese films are always great, and the Q and As with directors, producers, and actors, are well moderated. Theater does get cold so bring layers. Concessions available, got seltzer for 3$, not bad for a movie theater."

"A small theatre with comfortable seats. Great movies, not the usual block buster stuff they show at AMC. Also doesn’t get too busy usually so it feels like quite a nice relaxing experience."
