"Recommend trying this place! Lovely menu with a nice twist on known dishes. Presentation of food was great and tasted delicious. Clean and welcoming place, well positioned, and with ample seating inside and out. Service was perhaps a little on the slow side but this is a new restaurant and the couple only started the venture a few months ago so I think this place is on the up and worth a visit!"

"We were kept waiting a very long time for our food and starters were brought at different times. These were not very inspiring and did not demonstrate any particular culinary skill. I had the Caesar salad for my main, and the chicken was greasy and gristly. Not sure I would have described it as a Caesar salad - random mix of vegetables. Tuna tartare was just fine, nothing special."

"A MUST !!! Tucked away in the charming heart of Aix-en-Provence, Tandem is a newly opened gem that’s already setting a high standard in the local dining scene. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this spot is something special. We first stumbled in for an afternoon drink and a light bite — the burrata salad with basil sorbet caught our eye and completely blew us away. Creamy, fresh, and beautifully balanced, it was one of those dishes that makes you pause after every bite. The combination was unexpected, but it worked perfectly — refreshing, elevated, and packed with flavor. The experience was made even better by the warm, impeccable service. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner — a lovely, gracious woman who runs Tandem with her husband, the incredibly talented chef behind the magic. Their passion and partnership shine through in every detail. We were so impressed, we came back for dinner — and it did not disappoint. We started with albacore tuna, delicately prepared and paired with a punchy wasabi sorbet and a velvety pea purée. The contrast of textures and flavors was clever and memorable. For mains, we had the steak and a chicken Caesar salad, both flawlessly executed. Each bite was packed with flavor, and the presentation was top-notch — refined but not overworked. The showstopper, though, was the steak frites with truffle gravy — rich, indulgent, and absolutely unforgettable. The kind of dish you don’t stop thinking about for days. Beyond the food, the decor is chic and welcoming, striking a perfect balance between laid-back and stylish. The ambience is warm and inviting, making you feel like a local, even if you're just passing through. In short: Tandem is a must-visit.
