"It was nice to finally visit the brick and mortar location of a brand I usually buy at Sprouts. I ordered a vanilla latte with whole milk, added a touch of simple syrup, and topped it with cinnamon. It ended up being a fantastic drink, perfectly made. Service was fast and smooth. There was no seating available when I arrived, but I eventually found a spot at a community table with other solo guests, which worked out perfectly. I would return and highly recommend this location, and I would also like to come back to try one of their cold drinks. There is a restroom for public use as well; you can ask the barista for the code."

"Stumptown in the Village is easily one of the best coffee spots in the city, and a huge part of that is Lauren, the manager. It’s a busy location and she truly never stops moving. You’ll see her handling a dozen things at once, but it never takes away from the care she gives customers. She somehow manages to run the shop flawlessly and still make time to greet people, solve problems, or just make someone’s day. The whole team is awesome. It makes a huge difference at these types of spots to have great staff. But I still can’t say enough about how great Lauren makes this place. It’s a completely different vibe when she’s not here. Never bad, but just not quite as special."

"I’d only tried Stumptown Coffee once before—and that was at an independent café, not one of their own locations. Recently, I met a friend at one of their stores, and it turned out to be a great spot to catch up. The space is on the smaller side, so there’s a security guard managing how many people can enter at a time. Inside, the shop is charming, with beautiful historic architectural details, and the coffee was excellent. The cozy atmosphere paired with high-quality drinks makes it well worth a visit. Just a heads-up: the bathroom door is automatic and surprisingly confusing—I’ve never seen anything quite like it!"

"I stopped by Stumptown Coffee Roasters in NYC and absolutely loved the coffee. The Ethiopian roast flat white was fantastic – smooth with hints of sweet fruit and jasmine. The location itself has a great vibe, perfect for enjoying a proper cup. That said, the service let the experience down a little. The staff taking orders didn’t feel very friendly or welcoming – almost like I was bothering them when asking a couple of questions about the coffee and getting beans ground. I also only later found out you get a half-price coffee when buying beans, which wasn’t mentioned at the counter. Bit of a shame, as that could have made the experience even better. Great coffee, great space – just wish the customer interaction matched the quality of the drinks."

"I used to manage a local coffee shop in Austin, TX that roasts its own beans and have been to at least a dozen coffee shops in NYC. This specific shop has two of the best cappuccinos I’ve had in years (because so many baristas can’t get just right (or make a foamy latte, wut??), a cap is the most difficult to do), two mornings in a row, two different baristas. To quote a viral content creator - “9 out of 5 starrrsss.”"
