"Best "doppio ristretto" in nyc. The barista, Rain, did a wonderful job---like they would in Italy!"

"Le Café Coffee (501 Fashion Ave, New York, NY 10018) stands out for its cappuccino and vibe. The place has a clean, modern design with light wood, plants, and good lighting. The bar shows the baristas know their stuff. My cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had: strong but not bitter espresso with a toasty note, perfectly steamed milk, and just-right foam, all at the ideal temperature. Compared to others in New York, it’s top-tier. Prices ($1-10) are fair for the area, and the service was quick (under a minute) and friendly, even though it was busy. I’d give it a 4.5/5; only downside is they close at 7 p.m.—they should stay open later. If you like coffee, check it out. I’ll be back."

"Came in on a Saturday night on 2nd of November 2024 around 6:30 pm. There was an extremely rude Hispanic barista of short stature there who to my surprise knew nothing about customer care, I usually frequent le cafe all over manhattan and order the same drink everytime which is a lavender latte, the barista did not make the drink correctly it was bitter (should be sweet due to lavender pump) and without the latte art the baristas here known for. When I told the barista kindly to please adjust my 6.85 Dollar latte by just remaking it he became confrontational to the point he refused to give me his name or to even add a pump of lavender to make the drink sweeter without charging me for the extra pump or another 6.85 dollars for a new cup. Customers should not have to put up an argument to get a drink made to their liking and anywhere you go in manhattan if a drink is not made to your liking they will fix it. Upon showing the barista a picture of how it's supposed to be made with the latte art he simply said I do not know how to do that and was overall very hostile. I had no choice but to consume the drink which I didn't even enjoy but even worse was the bad experience I faced at this location. I do not recommend anyone to visit this particular branch of le cafe as long as that barista is there. This type of "tough" behavior suits a club bouncer not a barista who's troubling paying customers at a high end coffee shop. I hope the management can look into the situation of that barista who refused to give his name but you should see him in the attached picture. I am not surprised that I am not the only who faced bad customer service here and a drink which is not the same as all other branches (based off other people's reviews). If you have an ego and attitude problem just don't work in the service industry it's not that hard to make a drink with some good manners."

"I stopped in for breakfast on a rainy spring day. The cafe is great for those following anti-inflammatory diet, offering a range of oat, nut and dairy milks as well as available bowl and salad. My oat milk latte was creamy and strong. The avocado toast was good, but a little too many Chilli flakes and sesame for my preference.although good, I'd try another option next time. Staff were great, really quick and polite. Even with a long line, drinks came out super fast ."
