"I don’t recommend this place. I’ve had gong cha at another location and it was horrible (hard boba) but I was recommended to try again. I got a passion fruit yogurt drink, I in fact first asked if they have the passion fruit yogurt drink and pointed to the sign to my right where it was listed in the “top 1”. I watched the drink be made, it was orange syrup, Ice, and some clear liquid that was probably water or some sort of tea. And when I came in I saw the yogurt near the boba station. So the blended this and closed it. I thought, “no yogurt?”. He then handed it to me and I said hi this says “passion fruit slush” medium and I got the yogurt slush, I think this isn’t my drink. He said “no no yeah it’s just the system, I don’t know what’s wrong with it. Yeah it’s just weird, it’s been acting weird. There’s yogurt in there”. I said okay, left, skeptical. There’s no yogurt. They gave me a syrupy gross slush. So he lied to my face (I’ve now seen what it’s supposed to look like, creamy). Spent $8 on a slush and to be lied to."

"I know New York is already saturated with bubble tea shops but I still excited when a new one opens. Gong Cha, a well-known tea brand from Taiwan, recently opened a new location in the UWS near where I work, and boy was I happy to try them out. This location is teeny tiny. There isn’t really any place to sit and hang out, in fact, the space can probably only fit two customers at a time. This is mainly a takeout and delivery service. I do like that the décor is simple, clean, and bright. The menu isn’t overly large and surprisingly, there aren’t many pictures of what the drinks looks like. I think I only saw one poster in the shop showcasing their top 5 drinks. I ordered a medium Taro Milk Slushie which cost a little over $8. As with most bubble tea shops, you can customize your drink with ice and sweetness levels. The drink had a nice creamy snow-like consistency, was not overly sweet and had a lovely nutty Taro flavor. The boba was on the chewier side. Overall, I found the drink really refreshing and wasn’t disappointed. If you are needing a boba tea fix and are in the area, then you must try them out."

"I used to buy earl grey 3J in Flushing. It tasted great. Today I got it from this location. The milk tea tastes like too much water added. Nothing like tea or milk. The jelly looks nasty, not the yellow one I got from other locations. I understand it’s grand opening, but the quality is poor. I’m not sure the formula has changed or only this location."
