"Local shop selling chocolate of all kinds, ranging from chocolate covered orange peels (my favorite) to hot chocolate. All items are good, but not very memorable or innovative. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area."

"My family recently encountered what appeared to be the owner or manager of the establishment, and I must say, her demeanor was far from impressive. She exhibited a level of rudeness that is simply unacceptable, demonstrating a glaring lack of awareness regarding her audience and providing customer service that can only be described as subpar. Having worked in the customer service industry for over 25 years, I have always prioritized customer satisfaction, striving to ensure that every patron feels valued. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. We arrived at the shop hoping for a treat, only to find ourselves lingering near a small group while a woman, presumably the owner, delivered a speech about the history of the establishment. Unsure if the shop was open, my wife remained silent during the presentation. However, the owner made it quite clear how little she valued our presence, rudely asserting, "It's open," when my wife simply looked in her direction. Despite her dismissive attitude, we entered the shop, primarily motivated by our children's eager desire for chocolate. To our dismay, as we browsed, we overheard the owner telling the group, "Hold on for a second, while I get rid of these people." This blatant insult was both shocking and disheartening. As members of a minority, my family and I felt particularly unwelcome. Rest assured, we will not be returning. It seems the owner would rather engage with her Type of group than extend basic courtesy to potential customers."

"Someone wrote " It's great to shop here on special occasions.' I had to chuckle because the chocoholic that I am thought "Chocolate a day keeps the therapist away." Every bite makes you smile. I'm a frequent customer of Aigner and I love their chocolates. No relation, but I wish I was! Maybe I would get a discount. You're welcome for the chuckle! But seriously, they make the best chocolate. Possibly in the entire world! Blessings on your business Aigner Chocolates."

"Absolutely love this place. Outside of them having an amazing selection of chocolate they also have coffee and ice cream. Their Iced mocha lattes are so delicious I am addicted to them. The staff is wonderful, and the owner is amazing and hands on. They even have a bulk chocolate selection for those of you who like to create your own treats. If you haven’t been here you definitely must try."

"So disappointing. I have lived here in the neighborhood for over a decade and gone here throughout the years. I have never received service like this. I understand that I entered 10 minutes before closing time but that really is not an excuse for damaging the reputation of a forest hills and queens staple. We were immediately met by a rude employee who told us they were closing, she also promptly let us know they could not make us drinks because they needed to start cleaning the machine. OK, although I have been in the service industry in NYC for 10+ years, I understand it can be frustrating to make drinks at the end of the shift. She again told us that they are closing in a few minutes. We asked about the price of the chocolates with rum and she told us "if you can read, the price is on top". She told us then that we can keep looking but that they were going to lock the door behind us. We asked to pay as quickly as possible. As the door was closing behind us we could feel the grate lowering on the storefront. This coupled with the audacity of the standardized tip menu was an outrage. I hope this woman does not work here long enough to tarnish or cause bad association with this loving small business. I will try to push this out of my mind and focus on good memories when kids trick or treat, go for some sweets after school or Aigner participates in Community Day."
