"Hi YTB, I wanted to share some feedback about the 6:30p class CLASSIC 26+2 HOT 90 on Tuesday, Nov. 11 led by Caro Lokah. I could see that the studio thermostat was reading 117°F since my mat was positioned in the back corner. Would you say that’s an acceptable temperature? Every website I’ve checked says that temperature is too high for hot yoga, but maybe I’m wrong or missing something. About halfway through the class (45 minutes in), I started feeling too hot and overheated. I was concerned for my well-being and uncomfortably hot. I quietly let Caro know I was too hot when she was nearby me. So I was preparing to leave the class early, but Caro pressured me to stay. This also made me feel more uncomfortable and embarrassed. I’ve attended hot yoga classes before and even at your studio, but I learned in Caro's class that 117°F is well beyond my tolerance level and a health-risk, in general. I understand that hot yoga is meant to be challenging, but this level of heat felt unsafe. I wanted to make you aware, as I’m concerned that such high temperatures and Caro's response to my situation could pose a risk to your students’ health. Could you please confirm if this was intentional and Caro's response to my situation follows the guidelines of Yoga Tribe Brooklyn? Up until that class, I was really enjoying YTB. Thank you for looking into this and responding. Tracy P.S. I tried emailing YTB, but there is no email listed on your site. I tried to DM YTB on Instagram, but it says "they don't allow new message requests from everyone." I sent a LinkedIn DM on Nov. 15, but no one replied."

"I LOVE Yoga Tribe, it’s the perfect neighborhood yoga studio. Good vibes, great instructors, wonderful community. I appreciate how they care and listen to the community, recently they did so by adding a 4:30 heated vinyasa class M-Th, which is a good time for me, so thanks Yoga Tribe. Check out this studio, esp. you live/work in the area, but even if you didn’t, still worth checking out. I’m so glad Yoga Tribe is my yoga home."

"I walked past this yoga studio for years, always thinking, “One day I’ll try it.” Well, I finally did—and from the very first class, it felt like home. The energy here is warm and welcoming. You can tell the teachers and owners truly care—they’re experienced, diverse from all walks of life, down-to-earth, and genuinely happy to be there. One of my favorite things about this studio is the variety of classes they offer. It’s not just one style, which keeps things fresh and helps you grow in different ways. For the very beginner to the most experienced. I honestly wish I joined sooner. Highly recommend! :)"

"It's been many years since I have belonged to a yoga studio in any meaningful way, and I am so grateful that this studio has come into my life! The space is beautiful, but what makes it truly special are the people, both instructors and the students. Each instructor is intentional, mindful to remember people's names and take care to be attentive throughout and after class. The students are from all walks of life - it's one of the special places where it actually does feel like it is for every body. I was so hooked after getting my monthly membership that I upgraded to the annual as soon as I was able. It is a special place for new students and seasoned as well. Feels very welcoming, peaceful, joyful, and is a gift to our neighborhood."

"I wish I could give more stars. This studio is my absolute favorite and I’ve been practicing yoga in NYC for 10 years. The space is nicely decorated and, being in a warehouse, has a very “brooklyn” feel. It’s clean and lovely but there’s not an ounce of pretentiousness. The focus is on the practice but there’s a pretty consistent community which gives it a welcoming family feel. The teachers are awesome and have different styles so there’s something for everyone. The classes are a definite workout but flexible and the studio gets HOT which I personally love. They also offer “heated” classes that are less hot if you don’t want to be dripping in sweat. The owners (Roody and Jess) are absolutely wonderful. And it’s by far the most diverse studio I’ve ever been to - all ages, races and genders. It’s really such a special place, love YTB."
