"I don’t know what all of these bad reviews are coming from, but I took my two daughters there this past week to celebrate my younger daughter’s birthday. We had an awesome experience. We are all three hard working career minded women and the service was amazing by all staff members. The relaxations rooms, OMG, Amazing. We really relaxed. The buffet was equipped with salmon, roasted chicken, a rice pilaf, a roasted noodle, and many other meats, salads and breads to choose from. The price of the buffet was 40.00 per plate and the food was served to you by the waiter. The only food we touched was the salads , breads, and desserts. The food was not processed. It was freshly made. We believe our favorite was going outside in the snow and getting into the water, which was warm and invigorating. We have told all our friends and we can hardly wait to go back"

"I’ve been to a multitude of spas and wanted to really go here for my birthday. My partner surprised me with the massage and their spa entrance. As soon as we got there it was so many employees at the front and everything was so abrupt. Once you get in it’s like a hi, pass another person they put you on a kiosk, now that person is making you pay, then waivers, then another person is putting a wrist band on you. That same employee was explaining to us where to go and I couldn’t for the life of me remember what he said because I was still stuck at how fast everyone was trying to get you in and out. I get if there’s a morning rush or a rush in general, but as a first time client I’m expecting to have a calming experience not anxiety the minute I’m stepping in. No one even said Happy Birthday to me at the front which I found very strange. If you’re a friend, family member, or partner DO NOT be fooled by the birthday person coming in for free. They do not let you book anything other than the all day spa entrance. Which was $164 & 3hr Break pass is $89 now do the math is the birthday person really going in for free? Didn’t think so! Onto massages, the masseuse’s were very respectful and welcoming (the most welcoming out of all the employees at the front with semi attitudes). To pay over $400 I wish they would ask if you prefer deep or Swedish which wasn’t asked or implied that you could inform them. They provide robes, sandals and towels in the lockers. However, sandals are your average size so if you need a bigger size you have to ask the front desk. If you lose your robe you have to pay for a new one. The view is nice but it isn’t over the top. If you’re doing the outdoor pools bring a towel so that you won’t feel wet and cold in your robe from all the water amenities. There are a lot of spa’s that do spa entries complementary to your services and this spa was definitely not one of them. If you’re thinking about coming here don’t bother, waste your money on better lux experiences for example Aire Ancient Baths."

"My favorite spot in NYC!!! Such a perfect getaway from the busy, dirty city that leaves you feeling RENEWED and REFRESHED by the end of your visit. Seriously I feel my heart rate come down within moments of stepping inside of this wonderland every time. I've been both with friends and alone and it's perfect for either! I love the concept of this place. They have soooo many cool rooms to explore that lets you choose your adventure, whether you're in the mood for a day of pure relaxing, adventuring, resetting your body through hot & cold therapy, or a bit of everything. There's probably over 40 rooms to explore so it never feels crowded or limiting. And the whole place is sparkling clean - definitely the most hygienic established I've seen in NYC. I've seen comments about the buffet being disappointing...I personally have no idea what they are talking about. It's filled with so many tasty hot options, a massive salad bar, mozzarella, cheese and cold cuts plus an abundance of focaccias, desserts and fruit. It's a personal heaven. Plus the are little free treats hidden all over the spa to keep you going in between meals. The whole experience is an 11/10. Would encourage everyone to check it out!"

"I visited QC NY Spa on Governors Island with my wife earlier this month, and we honestly had a great time. I saw a lot of mixed reviews online beforehand, so I wasn’t sure what to expect — but we were pleasantly surprised. The setting is incredible. You’re just a short ferry ride from Manhattan, and suddenly you’re in this peaceful oasis with amazing skyline views. It’s a very unique experience. The outdoor pools were definitely a highlight for us — especially with the weather being just right. Floating in the warm water while looking at downtown Manhattan felt surreal. Inside, there were plenty of different saunas and relaxation rooms to explore, and the overall vibe was calm and well-organized. We had an all-day pass, but in reality, 3 to 4 hours was the perfect amount of time for us. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. We didn’t book any massages or treatments, so I can’t speak to that, but just using the included facilities was more than enough to feel relaxed and reset. One small suggestion: it did get a bit busy later in the afternoon, so if you’re looking for a more quiet experience, I’d recommend arriving early in the day. Overall, we had a really enjoyable and refreshing visit. It’s not a cheap experience, but for a special occasion or self-care day, it’s definitely worth it. We’ll absolutely be back."

"This spa is a true urban oasis! My birthday visit was absolutely fantastic. The experience of relaxing in the outdoor pools with that stunning skyline view is something I'll never forget—it's worth the trip alone. I had read many reviews beforehand, so I went in with managed expectations. While most of the staff were fine, I have to agree with some other reviewers that the service could be more polished and tactful. A few interactions felt a bit rushed and impersonal, which is the only thing that kept the experience from being perfect. A huge plus for me was that I visited with a 50% birthday discount, which made the luxury feel much more accessible and was a wonderful treat. Despite the minor service hiccups, the amazing baths, saunas, and the overall relaxing atmosphere make QC NY a place I would highly recommend and definitely return to. If you can snag a deal, it's an incredible value"
