"I walked into The Living Room Salon on the recommendation of a friend. I had gotten my hair colored in The Cayman Islands, where I now live, and I was NOT happy. Sitting at the front desk was Shane, who lovingly took one look at me and said, “color correction? It’s definitely…red. And stripey.” He recommended Daniela and he couldn’t have been more right. Daniela is an absolute artist. She took the correction process one step at a time and literally had her hands in my hair for the entire 4 hours I was at the salon; I have never had a more attentive stylist, let alone one as knowledgeable about color or as brilliant with color techniques, highlight placement and color correction - all while maintaining the integrity of my hair! Daniela also instinctively knew that part of my problem was the cut I had, so she finished by giving me a haircut that not only accentuated by brilliantly transformed color, but somehow made my hair seem longer! Daniela made me feel confident and good about myself again. What more could you ask for from a stylist? She is a true gem on the UES! I will no longer trust my hair to anyone but Daniela and will schedule my visits back to nyc from Grand Cayman to coincide with my need for color touch-ups."

"I have been getting cuts and balayage from Giuseppe for a year now and have been extremely happy. He listens to what im looking for, is attentive, kind and has a true passion for what he does. "I will try to make this review short and sweet as I know long one can be daunting, but let me tell you that I feel like I have FINALLY found my new salon and stylist in the Upper East Side. As we all know, especially those of us that color our hair, finding a good salon and a good stylist can be quite a journey. I had been to several other salons in the neighborhood and some I would stay at for a few months, but then something would happen that would cause me to look elsewhere. I came in on a Sunday and Giuseppe was my stylist. I said to him only a few simple things - half head of highlights and blended and he went to work. i don't know how he did it or if he is a psychic, but it was like he read my mind and gave me exactly what I wanted and I AM THRILLED. I feel like only really good and amazing stylists can take a little information and make it amazing. He also has such a strong passion for hair coloring and the art of it. He thoroughly enjoys his work and making people happy by giving them exactly what they want and you can tell as it was very much reflected in his work and personality. Also the Living room hair salon is HUGE and just beautiful! I don't think I have been to a salon that clean, organized and spacious since I lived in California! Seriously - if you want a wonderful experience with wonderful stylists - look no further as The Living Room Hair Salon is IT."

"I come only to this salon to get my hair done - lovely atmosphere and great staff. Giuseppe is a fantastic hairdresser. I have been doing my hair with him for four years and only trust him with my hair. He does fantastic balayages and haircuts. He gives me a new balayage every time, that is natural and even more beautiful than the last. I always get compliments on his work and always look forward to my next visit!"
