"I wanted to love this place and honestly wish I could rate it higher. I came in for a postpartum massage at 6 weeks postpartum, leaving my baby for the first time, and had high expectations based on the reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match what was advertised. First, I don’t understand why it’s called a “postpartum massage.” It felt like a standard massage with no specialized postpartum focus or techniques. I saw Lori because she was available on Sunday at 12pm, which was the only time that worked for me. She was kind, but the pressure was extremely light. It genuinely felt like I paid $200 to be lotioned repeatedly. She asked how the pressure was, and I told her it was low and she could go higher. She said she was “warming up the area,” so I expected it to increase at some point, but it never did. Overall, it was disappointing—especially for the price and for something marketed as postpartum care. I left feeling like I didn’t get the relief or the treatment I went in for."

"I can’t recommend Life Stage Massage enough! From my very first prenatal session to the day I delivered, they took such incredible care of me throughout my entire pregnancy. The space is spotless, calming, and truly feels like a sanctuary. The therapist I saw was highly skilled, attentive, and actually understood the changes my body was going through, my neck/back pain, swollen feet, and hip discomfort melted away every single time. The massages were so effective and relaxing that I immediately signed up for their monthly membership as soon as it was offered. Even now, postpartum, I look forward to my appointment every month, it’s honestly the best self-care decision I’ve made. If you’re pregnant (or just need some serious relief), this is the place. Thank you, Life Stage, for making my pregnancy so much more comfortable! ❤️"

"Great experience! This was my first time going to a professional masseuse, and I couldn’t have picked a better spot. I came in the day after running a marathon, and they did an incredible job helping with recovery. The massage was perfectly balanced — relaxing but targeted enough to loosen up sore legs and tight muscles. I left feeling lighter, more mobile, and genuinely refreshed. Highly recommend to any runners or athletes looking to bounce back after a big race."

"I’ve been coming here for over five years, and honestly, it’s my favorite small business in Hoboken. I usually see Catherine or Julie — they’re both incredible! — but I’ve seen almost every therapist on staff at some point, and they’re all genuinely talented and kind. Think: knows exactly what they're doing but also very receptive to feedback and requests. The entire team goes out of their way to make things easy, especially when I’m juggling a busy/shifting schedule. They’ve always done their best to fit me in, and that kind of care really shows. It’s such a warm, calming space with people who clearly love what they do."

"I started going to Life Stage Massage at 5 months pregnant for a prenatal massage with Julie. I looked forward to my monthly massages with Julie to address a combination of lower back and sciatica pain. It was so nice to be able to lay on my stomach given they have the appropriate cushions to allow that as an option. At the start of each session Julie asked me how I was feeling and where we wanted to focus. She made me feel comfortable and easy to talk to throughout the treatment. I just did the Labor Induction Acupressure massage with Julie who explained everything. I left feeling great after a mix of a massage and pressure points. Now I wait! I definitely plan to go back here for postpartum massages. Life Stage & Julie was a big part of my pregnancy self-care."
