"I've been working out here for over a year and it's one of the best gyms I've been to. The staff is extremely friendly, facilities are clean, the machines are diverse, and the 24/7 access is perfect. I do have one piece of constructive feedback for the management: one medium-grip mag v-bar attachment has seen better days 😅 Its rubber covering has become loose and slippery, which recently caused a minor wrist injury during lat pulldowns. A replacement would be a worthwhile investment for member safety and equipment quality. All in all, highly recommend Heights Fitness - I've already referred several friends in JC and they all love it too."

"My experience at Heights Fitness has been very positive. In particular, my personal training sessions with Erik have helped me feel confident working out in a way I never have before, and demystified a lot of the machines and exercises that I’d been intimidated by in the past. As someone who has mostly done sports and exercised at home, I never felt particularly comfortable training at a gym. But I wanted to give it a shot, so I signed up for an assessment and was quickly contacted by Erik. It was immediately clear that he was knowledgeable, pleasant to work with, and highly focused on improving my comfort in the gym. He told me that his goal was to get me to a point where I could feel confident walking into any gym on my own, and I’m happy to say he’s gone a long way to help me achieve that. He strikes a perfect balance of pushing you without ever forcing you out of your comfort zone, and is always mindful of your limits to avoid injuries. He always has a positive attitude, gives his full attention, and answers my questions thoughtfully. I would highly recommend Erik as a personal trainer for someone at any level."

"Great local gym in Jersey City to get a solid lift in. Culture there seems to be a mix of serious competitors to every day people just trying to stay in shape. Space was smaller than the gym I'm a member of, but I liked the assortment of free weights and machines. Absolutely loved the variety of dumbbells offered there; everything was in 2.5lb to 3lb increments, and I really appreciated those intermediate weights (versus the 5lb increments I'm accustomed to). For the price, $30 for a week long pass, it was perfect for my 5 day stay in Jersey City. If in the area for travel, I highly recommend this gym."

"Great and convenient gym here in the heights, not to mention it's 24/7. I've been going to this gym for almost a year now and have seen the improvements made, though it does take a while for some of the improvements to get done. Nevertheless, the gym is open to feedback and listens to its members to improve the experience. The staff is nice and supportive to the members, regardless if they're your trainer or not. Speaking of trainers, I've been training with Tim since I joined and he has helped me achieve personal fitness goals I did not think I could ever do. Training session after training session he has pushed me to my limits. It is so satisfying to accomplish them and eventually being able to do the exercises on my own correctly and with confidence. While Tim knows when to push those limits to the max and go the extra mile, he also knows when I need a break or to just take it easy. His workouts cater to his client's personal goals/needs. When I told him I wanted to do a Spartan Race, Tim has helped me prepare for the race through our workouts. Now, I'm training for my third Spartan Race and I couldn't have gone this far without his help. Overall, Tim's an amazing coach who has great relationship with his clients, both in and out of the gym. I highly recommend this gym and Tim to anyone."
