"I would ignore the 1 star reviews as those are posted out of spite. When I first moved to NYC 4 years ago I went to a Korean barber who almost permanently messed up my hairline. Through some research I found Harlem Masters Barbershop, and I've been getting my haircut from Mr. Green ever since. For any men (especially Black men) it's important to find a consistent barber that does an exceptional job, and that's the exact quality I get from here. If I'm in a hurry and I can't wait a day I'll get my cut from Clarence, and he does alright, but mainly Mr. Green provides the quality service. He could use more quality personnel, which he is looking to attain."

"Walked in. Vibes were off. Not greeted. Tried to speak to the first barber on the right he answered a phone call and started a convo… i walked my self right back out. These new york barbers are 👎🏾"

"the spanish barber did a HORRIBLE job. he cut off all of desmond's beard and stash when he never asked for it. he asked for a simple shape up. now he's walking around looking crazy for the next 3 weeks. he will be shivering as he has no hair left to cover his face. yall need to start following the natural lines of the man's facial hair instead of doing what you want."

"Came for a cut while traveling for work, walked in and waited ~20 minutes. Got a fade from a the master barber himself Polo Greene, had some light and friendly conversation. I felt real comfortable in the space, even having never been to a barbershop in NYC before. Hope to come again for Polo if I'm passing through"

"Fantastic barber shop in Harlem. The staff are super professional and the space is extremely comfortable (arm chairs as the waiting area). The cuts are really well done and reasonably priced."
