"I got the notorious dog and it was fantastic, overall a great burger. The Patty itself was kind of bland lacking fundamental seasoning, but the dressing and everything else were able to compensate it and the Patty itself was cooked perfectly medium. Everything else was rather disappointing, especially the "signature" deviled eggs... There was nothing devilish about it, It was just a well cooked egg with some topping. I think the ambiance and the location are great, but I wonder if it's worth a revisit."

"I went to Blue Dog NYC for an early dinner, and the experience was surprisingly warm and satisfying. One of the first things people ask is “Is Blue Dog good for dinner or mainly brunch?” —and honestly, their dinner options were just as solid as their daytime menu. The ambience was cozy and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. Another common question is “Do you need reservations?” —and while they take walk-ins, having a reservation definitely helps during busy hours. The service was attentive and friendly, with staff who checked in often and made sure everything was running smoothly. People also ask “How long does the food take?” —and in my experience, the dishes came out quickly and consistently. The food itself was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared, especially the classic comfort dishes they’re known for. “Are the portions good?” —yes, generous without being overwhelming. Another big FAQ is “Is it good for groups?” —it works, but it’s especially comfortable for small parties or casual meals. Overall, Blue Dog delivered great service, delicious food, a welcoming vibe, and a smooth early-dinner experience."

"We gave our breakfast a 10/10. The Raspberry Pancakes and S'more Pancakes were to die for! The crab cakes were also delicious but in our opinion could have used a nice dipping sauce. Great vibrant atmosphere, with friendly and attentive staff. Overall, a great way to start the day (once you can find the entrance… we had to walk around a few times). Highly recommend."

"This restaurant is cute but tiny. Reservations are definitely recommended. We had high hopes based on the good reviews, but our experience didn’t live up to the hype. The food just wasn’t very good. I got the soup, which was oddly gritty. There’s nothing I love more than deviled eggs, so I got “deviled eggs our way” on the side. I’m really not sure why they’re called deviled eggs, nor why they’re on the menu. I tried guac and chips, and received a hard boiled egg covered in guac. The squash version was a hard boiled egg with a spoonful of squash on top. It was sad and not tasty. My friend ordered the steak salad. There’s nothing salad was tiny and the steak was unappetizing. It was thin, fatty, and overcooked. It may well be that we didn’t get the best items on the menu, but with all the restaurants in Manhattan, this isn’t one I’d recommend."

"Visited for dinner before a show since it is located quite close to the Broadway theatres. I ordered their braised short ribs dish, and the meat was savoury, tender, and delicious. The flavour of the sauce reminded me of a recipe used in my family for another beef dish, which was very comforting. The service was warm and efficient from all of the staff. Cozy and welcoming space. Highly recommended for a dinner before or after a Broadway show."
