"I never write reviews but I had to. I went here for the first time to see an artist whom myself and my family absolutely love. Let me be clear that him and his band were 10/10 for incredible artistry and professionalism. I needed to go with the cheapest option due to my current budget, so I paid $35 with tax almost $40 for a standing room ticket. Turns out you are squished like a sardine awkwardly behind a long couch where sat are people eating, drinking, and being merry. The small space is incredibly ableist and not accommodating for people with a range of body types or physical needs. If you are going to have a standing section as sad as this, why not make it free? Since your establishment is expensive, it could be a way for folks with a variety of socio-economic backgrounds to see your shows. I do believe folks who access the arts for free should be able to do so in a set up that has way more dignity than behind this couch allows, but it could be a very small start. Additionally cost wise, because of the minimum requirement with your ticket, I paid $17 for a mocktail that was watery and mostly ice. The biggest disappointment was the fact that there were only a tiny handful of people who were visibly of color in the audience. Clearly Smoke hasn’t made the effort to bring in folks that are actually representative of the demographic of Harlem. Lastly, there was a black lady who at one point stood up to take a video and was recording for literally 5 SECONDS when this white man tapped her to get her to move. Like just let the lady take her nice video. The entitlement blew my mind. If you are POC or have ability needs and are considering going to this club I would not recomend."

"We had a great night at Smoke after a difficult start. Somehow I managed to confuse bookings and we turned up the day after our reservation - I guess the product of a busy few days. Obviously this was disappointing, however the team made sure we had a table in the late show at no cost. That was unexpected, as it was my mistake but says a lot about the place. Beyond that the food was delicious , bar and serving staff knowledgeable and friendly and the Joey Alexander set wonderful. What could have been a sad end to our trip was very memorable and we couldn't be happier. Thanks to everyone involved."

"Let’s start with the good part: the atmosphere is incredible. Red velvet, candlelight, and live jazz so close you can feel the bass through your glass. The cocktails are top-tier, and the food easily outperforms what most music venues even attempt. My crab cakes were crisp perfection, the salad was fresh, and the service stayed calm even with a packed house. Now for the part that ruined the vibe. The mandatory entrée rule. I came for drinks and small plates, happily spent several times the cost of an entrée, and was still told I had to order one or leave it uneaten. It felt like a cheap money grab at a place that otherwise screams class. Nothing kills the mood faster than being told your perfectly good dinner order isn’t “enough.” I still respect the music and the kitchen, both are excellent, but that policy left a bad taste I can’t ignore. Three stars. Great night, unnecessary greed."

"We went to Smoke Jazz & Supper Club last night and had an incredible time. The show was absolutely amazing, especially the Monk tribute, which was unbelievable. Both the food and the performance exceeded our expectations. We had the octopus, NY strip, and coq au vin, and everything was cooked perfectly. Such a great experience all around."
