I was sat and ordered with Sophia and she was great! I ordered: Mrs Claus' Mulled Wine Steak & Eggs Trial by Fire Wagyu Beef Sliders Organic Grilled Chicken Shepherd's Pie My favorite were the sliders! All in all a great experience!"

"Walking into Oscar Wilde feels like stepping straight into a Victorian dream lavish, theatrical, and absolutely unforgettable. It is also decorated according to the holidays or festive. Every corner is drenched in character, from the ornate décor to the playful nods to the playwright himself. It’s one of those rare spots where the atmosphere alone is worth the visit, yet the food and drinks easily hold their own. The cocktails are crafted with real intention bold flavors, beautiful presentation, and a touch of whimsy that fits the space perfectly. The menu has something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for a full meal or just small bites to pair with drinks. Service is friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed, even when the place is buzzing. What really sets Oscar Wilde apart is the energy. It’s vibrant without being chaotic, elegant without being stuffy, and somehow both nostalgic and modern at the same time. Perfect for a date night, a celebration, or simply treating yourself to a little glamour. If you’re looking for a spot that blends great food, creative cocktails, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve wandered into another era, Oscar Wilde is absolutely worth the stop. A true NYC gem."

"I visited Oscar Wilde with my family to celebrate my birthday which happened to be on Thanksgiving. We had a reservation, and I arrived first, but they wouldn’t seat us until the entire party arrived. We also needed a low table because one member of our group used a cane. They had very few low tables available, and even though we arrived early, the only one left was next to a loud machine (possibly an ice maker) that made noise throughout our stay. We ordered from the main menu instead of the Thanksgiving prix fixe. For appetizers, we shared crispy calamari, chicken dumplings, and buffalo cauliflower. The calamari was too dry, and portions overall were small for sharing. For our mains, I had the chicken sandwich, my son and friend chose cheeseburgers (my son also ordered truffle fries), my daughter-in-law had fish and chips, and her mother ordered brussel sprouts, the only vegetarian dish they had. I also tried a Bad Santa cocktail, but the drink was too expensive for the size, and I was not impressed with the taste. At the end of the meal, they brought a small slice of chocolate mousse cake with a candle for my birthday. It was delicious and melted in the mouth, but the portion was extremely small. For a special occasion, a slightly more generous gesture would have been appreciated - though I understand every restaurant handles birthdays differently. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight - beautiful, festive, and filled with elaborate Christmas decorations. It’s great for photos, though very crowded, with every table taken. We also waited over an hour for our food with nothing but water. Service could have been better. Our waitress, Isabella, was difficult to find when we needed anything - water, a straw, or to ask a question. Additionally, when I arrived with a cane, seeing me with it, no one, including the hostess at the door, offered me a seat while waiting. The restroom is down a steep staircase with no elevator, so accessibility is an issue. Parking is also challenging, but that’s typical for Manhattan. Overall, Oscar Wilde is worth visiting once for the unique décor, historic charm, and festive atmosphere - especially if you’re a fan of the writer. However, the service and accessibility need improvement, and the menu is overpriced for the portion sizes. It’s a fun place for the experience, but I’ve been to better restaurants."

"Went here twice on our trip. First night the entire bar was decked out in Halloween decor! It was so creatively decorated for the holidays! The history of the building was displayed very elegantly and this bar portrays Oscar Wilde’s story well. Next night we were there: no halloween decor! It was amazing how quickly they were able to completely transform the bar overnight! Had the truffle fries and an espresso martini which were both divine! Definitely excited to see this bar during the winter holidays!!"

"This place instantly pulls you into a different era — like stepping into a Jane Austen story — and right now the whole space is transformed for Christmas. Giant ornaments, holiday trees, snow globes, reindeers, Santa, polar bears… the decorations are incredible and make the whole place feel magical. For families: make a weekend reservation and request low seating. There are a lot of high tables, so that note really helps. Service is on the slower side, but the food surprised me in the best way. The Wagyu bacon burger was thick, juicy, and came with fries. The sausage had a nice char, and my buttermilk chicken and waffle was juicy inside and delicious with syrup (approx $25 each for brunch entrees) I also appreciated the themed bathrooms — they even use petal foot pedals to flush, which is so much more sanitary. Overall, a charming spot for holiday brunch and a great place to return to as the décor changes throughout the year. IG:Jubes111 Youtube: JujubiFam"
