"We have been here for dinner yesterday night everything was so good we loved goat Sukka , chicken tikka and keema pav . All the 3 a starters were really good. The lamb biryani was also mild tasty and flavourful. Cocktails were on point .Staff was really friendly .Last but no the least leachy dessert is a must try .We had a pretty good time here , we initially wanted to go to bungalow but came here at the last moment .It was good we would definitely recommend goat sukka and chicken tikka .About food here we can sense the freshness of ingredients . In and around nyc this is a good stop with flexible street parking around."

"A wonderful friend decided to book a brunch reservation here. If you love the spicy foods and can handle it - you must come! Unfortunately for us, even at the mildest spicyness request, that was our limit apparently - BUT let me tell you everything was delicious and flavorful, so we would definitely come again if we are in the area. (We will just remember to bring extra tissues.) The most surprising thing was that the Ghost Chili House Chutney was not as spicy as we thought it would be and it quickly became one of our favorites along with the rest of the House Chutneys to dip the masala fries into or eat it with assortment of other things we had at the table. The Butter Masala Paneer was delicious but I did order it with least amount of spiciness possible. I found it absolutely delightfully delicious however my nose did not and quickly ran out of my personal set of tissues. I'm still trying to figure out what type of spices and heat levels I can handle and expand on it, so this was a great experience overall. We also ordered chai and you must try it here if you like the type that's not heavily thick or milky. We ended up ordering chai twice as a result through out dining experience. The staff here are wonderful and knowledgeable and try very hard to accomodate requests regarding spice levels and food recommendations and any allergies."

"Authentic, bold flavors. Viewed against lofty claims, the stylized pitch did not quite sweep us off the feet. Ambivalent impression, at best. Elements that enhanced the experience: Booking in advance eliminated waiting time; themed decor; spaced-out seating for ~100 on 2 floor levels, another 16 outdoors, weather permitting; appealing food presentation (including Bombay newsprint themed food basket liners); signature offerings in the menu (chilli infused mango lassi - ‘twas a nice variant!). Juju Beach Vada Pav, Kairi Panna were also noteworthy. It’s not cool that they don’t encourage kids below 12, don’t carry high chairs for infants, and define a squatting limit - an incongruity for “GupShup”; which translates to ‘chit-chat’, a place to lounge and socialize. Our 2:45 pm order was taken with a rider that kitchen takes a break in 15 minutes. Fair enough, staff needs to take rest and shifts rotate. But what if patrons have a follow-through request or want seconds? Which we did, but could not!! Gave a sense that they were obliging diners in this slot by squeezing them past timeline margins. Suggest booking timings be adjusted to keep patron checkout, not checkin, parameter in perspective. Street food should come in street food portions, not as a size-constricted Mumbai Masala Toast sandwich. Likewise, two lightweight pav (soft with crispy crust) were a stack short of what should’ve been appropriate for the sinfully creamy bhaji. We had to order reinforcements. They charged. Essentially, skimping in the guise of style. Didn’t help that menu item “Kokum Cola” - one of the reasons for our draw - was not available. And yes, parking is a problem. GupShup offers no comfort in that area."

"Such a fantastic experience at this upscale Indian restaurant in the city. You have to order the Dahi ka Kebab and the Old Delhi Butter chicken!! But honestly everything we ordered was flavorful, elevated and perfectly curated. The staff and chef were kind and attentive to all of our needs - including my nephews food sensitivities and allergies. The decor is moody and vibrant - very well done design. Highly recommend this spot!"

"The restaurant looks great, and I was pleasantly surprised to find roadside parking easily available nearby — a big plus in NYC. It’s also kids-friendly, and I was able to get a reservation on the same day (Sunday evening), which was convenient. They have an impressive cocktail menu. My own drink wasn’t to my taste, but my friends and family really enjoyed theirs. The mango lassi, served in a beautiful copper cup, was a highlight. The menu itself isn’t huge, but it offers a good variety. For appetizers, we tried the sizzler and butter chicken wings — both were enjoyable. Unfortunately, all the biryanis were sold out, so we ordered Rajasthani Khadi, Achari Chicken, and Nizaam’s Haleem instead. The platter was underwhelming, so I’d recommend skipping that. The standout dishes were definitely the Achari Chicken and the Rajasthani Khadi — it was my first time having okra in khadi, and not only was the taste excellent, but the presentation was great too. The chef also surprised us with complimentary daal, which was a nice touch. Portion sizes were generous and enough for four adults and three kids. Overall, the preparation was good, though I’m not sure the price fully matches the taste considering the many dining options NYC has to offer. One suggestion: the restaurant should serve larger plates for the main course instead of the small appetizer plates they provided. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, plus a second-floor area. It’s both kids-friendly and wheelchair accessible. Overall: A stylish spot with great cocktails and a few standout dishes. Worth a try, especially if you’re looking for something different, but go in with the expectation that value for money might vary depending on what you order."
