"Came here on a late weekend night as this place has been on our list for a while. It was almost full around 9pm, we got seated quickly but took a while for the server to bring the menu. We did get a corner section so felt comfy and admired the French paintings all over the wall while I waited to get served. I could tell some guests were regulars, felt like a perfect restaurant to experience delicious French food at a relaxing cozy French place. The grilled calamari was excellent and they kindly divided the dish into two plates. We ordered the burger and the roasted duck which was absolutely amazing. The staff made sure the sides (mashed potato and string beans) for the duck were portioned well and it didn’t disappoint. Not just the portion but the price points and quality was great. We topped it off with the raspberry Neapolitan and it was to die for. Light and not too sweet we couldn’t stopped scooping the sauce on the plate!"

"What a gem! There are literally 11 French restaurants in this neighborhood but Deux Amis rings all the right bells. Classic French atmosphere; mahogany bar, white table cloths, burgundy red accents. We sat at the bar (always my preference). We started with the Gazpacho and Vol Au Vent. The Vol Au Vent was crazy delicious. Perfect starter to split if you’re hungry (intensely satisfying flavors and buttery pie crust). The gazpacho was very basic tomato and very soupy smooth, but nonetheless uber refreshing and light. We were each served warm bread rolls with chilled salted butter with the appetizers. For entrees, we had the chicken and the burger. The chicken breast was crazy juicy and tender for a breast cut, and served with a altoiid box sized piece of potato gratin. The gratin was unbelievable. You could see the thyme leaves and taste the grounding comfort food vibes. We (as always) ordered the burger rare. It came with fries and salad. Holy smokes was it cooked perfectly. It’s the kind of thing you bite and start singing AND IIIIIIII WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOUU in your head. Zahir was a legend. He made us feel right at home. If you’re considering elsewhere, don’t."

"Nice local neighborhood French bistro. Loved the chocolate souffle. Other dishes were fine. House cab for $36/bottle only! Great value. Didn't get a chance to try their French Onion Soup as we might have missed it on the menu but later asked and was told they had it. Service was very good."

"Unfortunately, Imwe was expecting more. The ambiance is typical French but cheap. The service was ok. The food was disappointing, to say the least. Worst risotto ever. It was like your mom's overnight rice. Dried and over cooked. There were no mushrooms and raw tomatoes. Clearly, the kitchen ppl have no idea how to make risotto. The short ribs were ok. Super watery and sweet. It's like super sweet and was served room temp almost cold. So we're the broccoli and the mash. Really doubt I'll come back . P.s. The orchid flowers placed for decor on the food were very tacky. I dont think you can everest them. If you can't eat them, you should not serve them."
