"I love bookstore-slash-bars so Anaïs (named after Anaïs Nin) was on my list for a while. This was more of a bar with books for sale than a true bookstore. Though I did spot one person reading alone at a table but most people were in pairs (for the most part, it didn’t seem to be a “book bar” in the settle-in-and-read sense). I’m a huge Henry Miller fan (I first discovered Nin through reading about Miller) and there were both his books and Nin’s books on display (and for sale). I came in around 5:30 on a Tuesday evening. It was bustling but not packed, and we lucked out with the last open spot for a group of four or five (a high-top table). Definitely appreciated that service was relaxed and friendly. They weren’t pushy about ordering more rounds and didn’t try to upsell (appreciate that a lot given how breathing-down-your-neck some plcaes are these days.) We just had olives, bread, and a couple drinks each. There was a magic show at 7 and they let us know beforehand that if we wanted to stay past then it’d be $15/head (we instead went to the sister restaurant Rucola which is one of my favorite spots)."

"I really enjoyed my time here! This is the perfect date night spot with friends or a partner, with so many wine and cocktails options. Service was amazing and the restaurant was so lovely, with candles and a very romantic setting for the evening. I was not the biggest fan of the appetizers/ shared plates. We ordered the white fish which is ground up fish with potato chips and we ordered the cheese and bread. I was not a fan but would come back just for drinks."

"A very well curated wine list. A delicious variety of snacks. Cordial and extremely knowledgeable staff. Neighborhood vibes on a residential street. Any and details regarding the wine, just ask Joseph Signa!"

"Stopped by here on a weekend afternoon since I happened to be in the area and wanted to grab a drink. The place was pretty packed, with almost all the tables taken. The vibe and interior had a cool atmosphere and felt pretty nice. I ordered a dirty martini and a beer, but the beer bottle was super slim compared to others, so the portion felt a bit small. Overall, it’s a solid spot if you live around here."

"A wine bar for any occasion, in my opinion! Splitting a bottle with friends, date night tucked away in a cozy corner, or sitting outside on a sunny day with a glass of wine and some snacks. Went for a free collage night and it was the perfect girls night out."
