"I went here with my friends, and everything this restaurant served deserves a standing ovation! The food is amazingly good—every dish comes with beautiful presentation, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. I loved everything; even their simple cucumber salad was incredible—spicy, fresh, nutty, and perfectly balanced. I absolutely love this place! The ambience is great, and our server was very friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves food made with love, you must visit 53. Shout-out to Chef Mark, Chef Adam, and the entire team for the amazing food. Highly recommended! ❤️"

"It’s a cozy place but for an Asian taste this is not a good place for food experience. It’s lacking of that savory flavor. Very pricey as well! If there’s anything I will order the clay pot scallop truffle with rice. Beef tenderloin peppercorn. Salmon carpaccio was ok. Will never order lobster rice in lotus leaf. Royal shumai is tasteless! I won’t recommend the dessert we order here as well."

"I have to call out a few dishes here. First, the Eel Club - foie gras with eel is already an extremely greasy combination, and then they added strawberries on top. I honestly have no idea which “genius” chef thought that was a good idea. Second, the Black Truffle Steamed Egg - again topped with foie gras, another overwhelmingly rich and heavy pairing. Third, the Lobster Fried Rice came with large fish roe on top that popped in the mouth like mango popping boba. The fried rice was hot while the roe was cold and salty when it burst - such an odd and unpleasant combination. If the goal was to add umami, smaller roe would have made much more sense. The Lamb Chop wasn’t as oily as the others, but the flavor wasn’t my taste — a sweet and sour lamb chop with fennel just didn’t work for me. Whether you get full at this price is another story, but after eating these dishes, you’ll already feel so nauseated you won’t want to eat anything else. It’s been four hours since dinner, and I still feel that greasy, sick-to-the-stomach sensation. Overall, this restaurant is a never again for me. Definitely not recommended."

"Interesting restaurant with good food and friendly staff. I really liked the ground-floor interior — simple yet elegant. The main dining area, however, is two levels down, so it feels like a basement with no windows or fresh air. While the design is tasteful, you do get the sense of sitting in a box. The staff were genuinely helpful and warm, not robotic, which made the experience pleasant. The food was tasty and well-prepared. Overall, it’s a nice place for a business dinner or a quiet evening meal."

"The ambiance and food at 53 were amazing. The Truffle Egg was a really creative take on egg custard, the Cod Clay Pot was excellent, and the Mango Custard was the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The only minor note on the food, and this might have been intentional, is that the foie gras on the Truffle Egg was uneven in temperature, slightly colder in the middle. The real issue, and the reason for the 4 star review, was a service misstep. I stepped away from the table briefly after letting the waitress know I’d be back, and during that time they cleared my dessert and drink. I had only taken one bite of the dessert. When I returned, they tried to give me back the cleared dessert, and I had to point out that I didn’t know where it had been or how it was handled. They did replace it, but I would expect better coordination and communication from a restaurant of this caliber."
