"might be the most popular bakery near ColumbiaU area, a line is waiting when I came and all the pastries worth the wait, they are really good, they have specialty coffee and you refill, it’s old-fashioned classy place for people who hang out, but the tables are pretty tight, guess it’s not just a bakery in the neighborhood it represents something more that’s why there always a line around noon"

"I loved the atmosphere at The Hungarian Pastry Shop. It feels cozy and full of character, the perfect place to sit with a book or just enjoy a coffee. The pastries are fresh and delicious, especially the strudels. It can get a little crowded, but that only shows how popular it is. Definitely a spot I would recommend to anyone visiting New York."

"I really wanted to like the place because it's super cute and I love the atmosphere. However, the poppy seed strudel was so dry from the outside layer and the seeds were too hard. Nothing like the original I been eating since my childhood. They really need to work on the quality of their staples."

"Hyped up pastry shop near Columbia University. The interior is cool, the waiting line long, the staff remains lovely. The pastries and cakes were nice, but to be honest, I would not travel across town just for that purpose."

"Got the cherry cheese strudel, a croissant, and a hot cider while sketching the interior — what a wonderful cafe this spot is!! The cider really hit the spot and the cherry cheese strudel was a good balance of tart and sweet. Saved the croissant for later, and even when cold, that was good too. Always a bustling atmosphere because of its proximity to Columbia, so it makes the place very easy to settle in. Lots of amazing options to choose from, and the service is both kind and fast. Cheese and cherry strudel: 9.6 Croissant: 8.2 Hot cider: 9.3"
