"I stopped by the Magnolia Bakery inside Grand Central because I wanted to finally try their famous cupcakes. The cupcakes themselves were okay — the vanilla was soft and classic, and the frosting was fluffy but way too sweet for me. What really took away from the experience was the atmosphere. Since it’s right in Grand Central, it felt crowded, noisy, and kind of rushed. There’s nowhere cozy to sit and enjoy your dessert — it’s more like “grab and go.” Overall, it’s nice to check off the list if you’re already passing through, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Pretty cupcakes, average taste, and not the most relaxing vibe."

"The classic banana pudding is def worth the wait! Not too sweet, great mix of cake, pudding, bananas and whipped cream! It was so good! The key lime ice box cake and red velvet cheesecake were so good too! The chocolate pudding parfait was not a fave. We went back twice during our trip. The Grand Central Station location is very busy and workers seem frustrated when asked questions. One of the bakers was helpful when we asked questions about some items. They do seem organized, two employees prepping the orders for the person at register. The one guy was trying to work 2 registers, he was doing too much and seemed irritable."

"I have been here often but have probably tried to cone here even more. Quite often before I hop on a train I will stop by but am not willing to wait in insanely long lines so usually don’t wait. There are likely hundreds of great places to get cupcakes in NYC but none with the same name recognition. The cupcakes are good but for me nothing is worth waiting in insanely long lines. The icing is extremely creamy and very buttery. I quite like it, but it may be too buttery for some. The cake itself is nice but nothing you can’t get at any bakery. I am not a banana pudding expert but I really enjoyed their version. I know this is a specialty for them and I would definitely order it again (as long as their was no line). I think if it’s an off hour and the line is manageable Magnolia is definitely worth a try."

"I was in the mood for something sweet. I stopped by Magnolia Bakery. I usually purchase the Classic Banana Pudding which is delicious. It's creamy, light and the right amount of sweetness. The chunks of banana and nilla cookies are delicious. I also purchased the Blueberry Crisp Pudding. I love it!!! The blueberries are sweet and tart at the same time. It has a hint of citrus. Im thinking it's lime or lemon. The cake or cookies mixed in is just scrumptious. I will definitely purchase again. The place is orderly and clean. The customer service was good. I ordered my desserts and received it with out incident. 😆 If you like Banana Pudding check out Magnolia Bakery."

"We read online that one must stop by to try the banana pudding, and the Internet was right! It was absolutely delicious and fluffy! Was it super cheap? No. But was it worth it? Certainly! I definitely recommend giving it a try, even if you’re not the biggest fan of bananas or pudding."
