"Walking around NY you can stumble around and find so many places to try. Known for great desserts, we tried banana pudding and the new apple crisp. Visiting from the south, they have great banana pudding. This one wasn't bad, definitely not my favorite. Thicker consistency with good flavor, but not great. The as crisp on other hand was delicious. Would come back for that."

"Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Value: 5 Stars Sanitary: 5 Stars Overall: 4.8 Stars As someone visiting from Toronto, I finally made my way to Magnolia Bakery — and wow… consider me officially addicted. I tried their famous banana pudding and OH. MY. GOODNESS. I understand the hype now. The moment I took my first bite, I instantly regretted not getting a bigger tub. It’s perfectly moist, not overly sweet, and packed with real banana chunks that make every spoonful taste fresh and comforting. Truly the definition of a “must-try” when you’re in New York. Based on the staff’s recommendation, I also tried their apple crisp pudding, and honestly? Zero regrets. It has real apple slices, the most satisfying texture, and a warm, cozy flavour that tastes like a hug in dessert form. Magnolia absolutely nails their puddings — balanced, flavourful, and just indulgent enough without being heavy. The service was lovely, the shop smelled like heaven, and everything felt welcoming and nostalgic. If (more like when) I come back to New York, I will be making a beeline straight to Magnolia Bakery before doing anything else. Their puddings alone are worth the trip. Maybe next time I’ll branch out and try their cakes — because if they’re anything like their puddings, I already know I’m in for a treat. xx kellychan360"

"Skip the pudding and go for the cupcakes!! It's a nice spot with friendly staff. - The pudding is overrated. Tried both the original and apple crisp, the latter I liked the least. For me it felt a lot like whipped cream. - The cupcakes was a welcoming surprise! Tried chocolate and red velvet, both very light and tasty. I recommend them for sure!"

"Try the famous banana pudding which is surprisingly tasty with banana chunks and cookies and cream. Love it. Also got the red velvet cheesecake and Iced matcha, delicious too. Only for take out so we enjoyed them in nearby park. All the cakes look really attractive in the shop, can’t wait to try more soon."

"Magnolia Bakery is one of those spots that feels like a true New York moment. It is cozy, welcoming, and the kind of place that manages to be both iconic and genuinely good. Everyone talks about the banana pudding, and for good reason. It is creamy, light, and unlike anything else. But my personal recommendation is the chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing. It is simple, perfectly balanced, and exactly what a classic cupcake should taste like. The bakery itself is always clean and the staff are friendly, which makes the experience feel easy and enjoyable, even when it is busy. It is also across the street from a great little bookstore, which makes stopping by feel like you are stepping into one of those quintessential New York City days where everything lines up just right. Magnolia works for just about everyone. It is great for kids, but just as fun for adults who want a sweet treat or a nostalgic moment. Whether you are local or visiting, it is a must-go and a place you will probably find yourself returning to again and again."
