Every new person I introduce to consistently tells me these are the best chocolates they’ve ever tasted in their lives, and it works for me as well. "Amazing selection of chocolates in a random, nondescript building. They have a great selection of bonbons and their monkey bars are equally as amazing. Sampled a couple of bon bons, the pistachio one was my favorite. Bought a box of bonbons for my boyfriends grandma and got ourselves a black sesame monkey bar. The monkey bar was vegan but you can't even tell! Highly recommended."

"In an unassuming building on the 9th floor, there is this wonderfully unique chocolate shop. On my way home, I wanted to grab chocolates for my wife’s birthday. Luckily in my search between my office and penn station, I found Chocolat Moderne. I had the pleasure of meeting Jim, who is the kindest gentleman. I believe we was the owner or the husband of the founder. He helped me curate a wonderful box of heart shaped chocolates tailored to her tastes. He also beautifully wrapped the chocolates. She loved them all. I’m so glad I found my go to chocolate shop nearby that also allows me to support a small business. I highly recommend to all chocolate lovers."

"How was I unaware of this exquisite chocolate!? This shop has been here for years and even scored a feature in the New York Times, yet I was surprised to find it… like some confectionery speakeasy hiding in plain sight. Each bite was a tiny, silky portal to a better dimension where everything is rich, velvety, and dusted with discovery."

They have flavors for everyone ranging from liquor to Japanese flavors such as shiso and adzuki beans. Wonderful wonderful place, 10/10 would recommend"
