"I’ve been coming to Butterfield Market for about 10 years now, and oh my, I still enjoy your soups and frozen foods just as much as I did when I first started coming. And your yogurt — dear goodness — it really is the best in the whole world. I also want to give a little extra praise to a lovely cashier named Anika. She is always smiling, always so gentle and patient when packing my groceries. She never rushes me, and she always asks how my day is going. It’s such a comfort, especially at my age, to be greeted with such kindness. You’ve done a wonderful job training her. She’s a real treasure."

"I’ve been a gourmet grocery store enthusiast for a few months now. The smoothies here are okay. I’ve had worse smoothies, but I’ve also had much better smoothies. Overall, the bang-for-your-buck rating for Butterfield’s smoothies is 3/5. The 4 star review is because there is a good selection of non-smoothie items, pictured. They are all, as you might expect, super pricey. But the prepared food looked like a good portion size. FYI: There’s a board on the wall with a list of 4 smoothies, but a few laminated pages of other options on another wall, with the ingredients listed so small I had to use my phone to zoom in to read it."

"Amazing, simple, JUMBO frozen yogurt. They put the toppings tucked inside which I respect. Mango and vanilla were both incredible. Texture is perfect. Just a high quality froyo! Also a cute market inside with hippy / trendy snacks. Upscale grocery store with a very wholesome elderly crowd. It is rejuvenating!"

"Honestly no notes on this soft serve froyo. It’s great. The texture is perfect. The peanut butter flavor in the PB frozen yogurt was great. I loveeee that you can get 2 flavors in a small without swirling. That made my day. My one complaint is that the line moves SLOW. Like it doesn’t take long for them to make the froyo, but their points system at check out is the bottleneck. It just takes so long to put in an email & phone number. They have all sorts of other desserts, meals, prepped food that looks super good. Good selection of gluten free and vegan options."

"On this episode of finding the best grocery store rotisserie chicken, we have Butterfield Market in the Upper East Side. It’s the land of Alo Sweats, Aritzia Puffers, and $10 rice and peas. Their whole vibe is trying to be like the Erewhon of NY. I must note, there is an asterisk on this review. They only had a cold rotisserie chicken that ran $20.99. When I asked the guy at the deli counter if they made any hot tissis, he said no but he could heat it up and it would still be good. As annoyed as I was at the pricepoint of $20.99, I respect the hell out of them for wanting smoke. Let the record show, Butterfield is ducking NO smoke. One can’t help but wonder why they only sell a cold rotisserie chicken in the first place. What is the best use case for that? Kind of hurts my head… Nonetheless, I got the heated up chicken and took it over to central park to rip the deceased bird limb from limb. Things started off well with the breast, as I felt it was going to land in the low 7 range. I was shocked how decent it was for it being heated up. But then, the leg came a long. It was essentially inedible. Plywood dry. Sahara Desert dry. The dryness from the reheat reared its ugly head. I winced right as I bit into it, simultaneously reaching for the $5 Voss water I had just bought. Final score was a 5.3/10. Terrible. But again, respect to Butterfield for stepping up to the plate. I also don't know if this really counts. I would absolutely come back to re-rate if they start selling a hot bird. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__"
