"Visiting Aix en Provence for one week, I decided to try this salon for a cut and color. I didn't have an appointment and just stopped in. They were so amazing! They fit me in immediately and gave me excellent service despite my terrible French speaking skills. Everyone was kind and made me feel welcome. My cut and color is fantastic! I love it. What a very skilled hairdresser. Thank you. If I lived here, this would be my permanent salon."

"Got colour and simple cut. They have deceiving pricing. Wash after applying colour is extra. Conditioner is also extra. The cut took 2 minutes and it’s not even. It was a simple trim, no layers. Colour doesn’t have good coverage. Basically I paid twice as much as is advertised."

"Exceptional service and staff. I travelled to Aix en Provence the weekend preceding my wedding which was taking place on Monday 30th Aug. Having passed through Paris specifically to get my colour (balayage) done, I was disappointed by the results - I had yellow hair 2 days before my wedding! I went straight to the Dessange salon on Saturday afternoon, without a reservation - the staff immediately jumped into action, seating me straight away and putting a very competent (and patient) young lady (I think her name was Lea) in charge of fixing my colour. Two hours later, I came out with a beautiful colour - my wedding day was saved thanks to the wonderful staff of this salon. I can not thank you all enough for how well you looked after me. Excellent, kind and professional service."

"This place is of the upmost quality for hair dressing. Moreover, the staff is not only excellent in what they do, they're also very competent in advising costumers. The saloon is very cosy and comfortable. Oh yeah! and there's also a wonderful massage chair for the one getting their hair washed!"

"Wow! What a great experience. I was hesitant to get my hair done in Aix without knowing anything about the place, or speaking very good french. It was recommended by our landlord, so I took a walk to the salon to make an appointment and they were very welcoming, and also made sure there was someone there who could speak English, if I needed it. It's an upscale salon, very clean and it's clear they have good people working there. I can't remember the name of the woman who cut my hair (sorry! But she was lovely with very thick blond hair cut short), and she explained (in french) what she was planning to do, and Allison (who did my color, and beautifully) confirmed in English that I understood. They offered coffee, tea, water, etc and were very attentive. I had a ballyage for color--haven't had that in a long time--and it was beautiful! They took their time, and the result was fantastique!"
