"My 93-year-old mother has been experiencing unexplained hearing loss for a year. She's isolated, cut off from conversations, can no longer watch TV, and has withdrawn into herself. Her distress has become her constant complaint. Her hearing aids were checked and found to be working properly at the store where she bought them. We replaced her charger. We saw two different ENT specialists, but found no solution. I took her to Audition Conseil Gardanne, who saw her even though the device wasn't purchased from them. They determined that her main hearing aid had a problem and sent it in for repair. It came back 10 days later and was perfectly fixed. The change was immediate; she adapted quickly, no longer asks people to repeat themselves, enjoys her social life and activities, and most importantly, has her smile back.
