"I like the location of the bar, in the old town with the historical buildings but a bit aside so it’s actually calm. The drinks list is sufficient and reasonably priced. The plate with cheese and charcuterie is 20 euro and definitely overpriced for what it is so one star less."

"A wonderful, unplanned stop for lunch on a very hot summer afternoon. Our family of four were greeted with a warm welcome and offered the last remaining table outside. A wonderful al-fresco dining experience watching the busy streets and soaking up the atmosphere. The service was very quick and efficient and the food was fantastic. Beautifully presented, very tasty salads accompanied by cold refreshing drinks meant we were very pleased to have chosen Le Gaulois for our lunch on our one-day stopover in Aix. Big thanks to the lovely team."

"Had a couple of drinks here. The outdoor seating was located right next to the church and under a tree which makes it cosy. Relatively cheap drinks, paid €9 per drink. They didn’t know how to make a margarita but the staff were friendly and made one for me anyway😊"
