"We had such high hopes for yummy pastries and bread. Baguette was good. Babka delicious and very chocolatey. But stick to the breads…as the croissants were soggy and disappointing."

"We only used it to get baguettes and croissants and the odd tourbillon. The infamous woman mentioned in many negative reviews was ok. I would perhaps describe her as ‘efficient’ and a little ‘direct’, but she is clearly good at her job if not the friendliest. Food tastes not too bad, a bit pricey but it’s in the delectable rue Thiers/rue d’Italie village area of central Aix."

"What a discovery! Sometimes you need to do the queue but it s a fast one! But believe me it s worth it 🤩 i went twice while staying in Aix! The babka is so so tasty i tried the pistachio cookie too and truffle and cheese bread! This place is a must try 🤭"

"Always a line. Great baked products. Best baguette and croissants in town. Really good bread. We tried a rice bread and a buck wheat which pleases you to the core! Pastries and cakes are in incredible. The bread window is overwhelming so don’t feel shy to ask what all those loaves are made of! Head cashier needs a lesson in customer interaction. She’s like a soup nazi so don’t ask her any questions and if you try to speak the language she barks at you real loud! The rest of the staff were awesome! A reviewer on an another blog mentioned her too!"

"The yummiest breads and pastries in Aix! Go early for a baguette as they sell quick. The pastries are beautifully presented and omg so delicious! Today I had the tarte tatain and it was next level amazing, the best I have tried in France. I went in at midday and they sold out of baguettes but I tried the sesame loaf (there was a French name, but I can't recall it) and it was so yum, white fluffy airy bread sprinkled with white sesame seeds. a pleasant surprise!"
