"I come to this gym regularly, and although I normally do have an okay experience, today was quite disheartening. My badge did not work so I went through the turnstyle (as many people do, since the badges can be iffy and often there is no staff member at the desk to help). The man working today (edit : his name is Aurélien) told me that I cannot do that (which is totally understandable!), but he was incredibly condescending to me. I told him that I do not really speak French, and he mumbled 'C'est dommage. On est en France...', while rolling his eyes, amongst other rude comments. It was an upsetting experience."

"Really nice gym with a complete range of equipments. The staff is very welcoming and always helpful. The group classes are constructive and well built. The changing rooms and the gym areas are both super clean. Highly recommending this place!"

"I live close to the Aix city center and needed a gym. I checked out many gyms in the area and Metabolik is the best. Even though it is much better than other gyms, it is not yet my perfect gym. Here is some information: PROS: 1. Excellent equipment and enough area to do absolutely everything you would want to do for strength training, cardio-vascular and stretching. 2. Even though I don't speak French, I found the staff to be excellent. They are always helpful and smiling and it makes me happy to see them at the gym. So far so good! 3. Both my husband and I have an unusual situation where we spend a lot of time traveling for work (and pleasure). In fact, we are out of France for at least 6 months of the year. This is the ONLY gym which has accommodated our needs. Well done on customer service! For once, I feel pleased to deal with the administration things in France. 4. The gym is clean and they use excellent body products in the washrooms. 5. LOTS OF FREE PARKING!! CONS: 1. Lack of washrooms! There are only 2 UNISEX washrooms for the entire gym. And apologies but a lot of men think it's OK to pee on the seats and not clean. As a woman, that's hard to deal with. Every establishment should have ladies washroom. This is very basic and needs to be addressed. I had planned to go to the gym yesterday after work but then had to stop at home to use the washroom. In the end, I got lazy and never made it. There are many excuses not to go to the gym but lack of toilets should never be one of them! 2. The gym charges a pretty hefty fees but it doesn't provide some basic services such as availability of personal trainers, access to group classes etc. You can get some classes but you have to pay a lot more. They do have a big screen where you can play a video class but if I wanted to do that, I would use Youtube for free at home. I feel that more people would come to this gym if they had more services. Conclusion: Even though this is one of the better gyms here, it needs a few improvements. It's very new and I am sure it will get better with time. BUT unless it makes these changes, I predict that the business will fail. Sometimes French businesses could stand to learn a thing or two from other similar businesses in other countries."
